They rocked the Hendrix cover as well. Devo can't really be lumped in with the rest of contemporary pop music IMO, they are in a league of their own, unmatched by anyone. And I'm not even that big of a fan, I only like maybe five or six songs.
I've been a big fan since I bought Are We Not Men on cassette. That one and Freedom of Choice are on my list of all-time favorite albums.
Their whole de-evolution theme is fascinating.

I say I'm not a fan but then I leave shit like this laying around the internet...

That's not one of the ones I know really well. Had to go have a listen to refresh my memory. :)

( i really like how musicbee can be configured to load a band history and lyrics. Learned lots of little nuggets over the years while listening)

I think Big Mess was the first song that made me realize I have some kind of aural autism/adhd.

This was probably the second:

So many people find it unlistenable but it got me to thinking a lot about how cochlear shape, which is minutely different in everyone, affects how we hear or perceive what we hear.

Here is another genius that your pop loving associates will hate, I'd Put Tom Waits later on at a party, only the cool people stuck around. And then, the party took off! Man, I miss being young!!!?

This is what I'm talking about.

I've had the great fortune of avoiding any kind of diagnosis for any kind of thing all my life.
So it's been kind of difficult putting the pieces together.
Cannabis has helped a lot but it's really been dependent of the strain.
I do much better with sativas and more "uplifting" heady highs than opiate-like heavys.

I've only smoked one strain for a very short period in the late 90's that seemed to sync all my everythings.
The come-on from the initial puff was something akin to the THX sound, then everything was just "right".
In retrospect, I attribute the high to some pesticides or something. Dude was never able to get the same effect but the bud never changed.
It was from some seeds his mom got from a boyfriend??? We called it "Breens" because it was brown greenbud.
