Hearing one of the most iconic country voices, and the leader of (IMO) the most influential punk band of all time, team up to cover Bob Marley was so cool and interesting. I just heard this version for the first time and loved it.

Always loved this song, even as an angry, headbanging teenager. Just watched the video for the first time in many years and was saddened to see Robin Williams. For a minute, I thought the second guy was Christopher Reeve (it's Bill Irwin).
That would have given the video such a sad vibe, given the way the lives of both gentlemen ended.
As is it, I still love the song, but don't think I'll watch the video again. :(

Stompin' at the Klubfoot is a great collection of 80's UK psychobilly. I only knew about volumes 1 and 2 until quite recently. This is one of my favorites from Vol 3&4.

Bro!!!!!!! Yes!!!!!! Those are some of the most amazing live shows! I think my Demented Are Go DVD has a few of them on it.

Coffin Nails are pretty sweet too, that song is I think in the car right now lol. Cause you can kick the fuck out of mom and dad, stab your sister if it makes you glad lol.

That's my favorite lyric too. It's like Toxic Waltz, or other pseudo-violent stuff: you aren't actually endorsing this shit, or wanting to "kick your friend in the head and have a ball", it's just a way of channeling aggression in a way that keeps you out of jail.

Singing and/or moshing along with that shit is as cathartic as hell. :punkrocker:

Fuck yeah bro, I have that album by the way, lol, you ever heard some of the messed up shit they recorded? My girl and I listen to it and it's hilarious lol.

Haven't heard any other Coffin Nails. There's a few groups on that collection I need to seek out.

Are you familiar with these Canadian freaks?
Totally different genre, but figured you might appreciate them. These guys started in '79 and are still gigging.

Yes I do know them! From detachable penises to where to stick a Hamster lol!

The Coffin Nails are also ones I'd suggest ?

Haha ? maybe they did, I don't really know. I'm a bit blazed and caught you saying Detachable penis. Which reminds me of tripping in the 90s watching Beavis and Butthead and that song playing ?
Lol all good bro, after the last 24 hours I've shoveled enough snow that my neck doesn't wanna turn so I'm probably as high as last month's electric bill lol.

Lol I used to watch that too; pretty sad how a cartoon was playing better videos than the channel itself at times lol.

I just stumbled upon this and wanted to share. I hope it puts as big a smile on your face as it put on mine.(Honestly, I grin every time I think about it)

This is a young autistic man sharing his all-time favorite country song with us. It also happens to be one of my all-time favorites.
