Pretty good, we're' going to make it through this mess. How about you? Doing well I hope.. Nice find on the power adapter..cant wait to see that LED all lit up...cobs are great?..... If you, or anyone else ever need more power adapters/supplies, I have a box full of old chargers: Laptops, and phones primarily, but a few others that I used in projects. a box full? yes a med uhaul box full....:)

I've read that does it work good cob kits has both 50k as well as 100k the 50k would simplify things
Yes, works perfect.
I've built many that way, for myself and others.

100k ÷ # of drivers = k of potentiometer to use.
You can do a bunch of em if you wanted to.
One driver use a 100k.
Two drivers together use a 50k.

That is one of the 2 last things to complete this light this is my first diy I've long wanted a timber v-4s for my 3x3 its 18 x 18 & 400 w. Uses 4 vero 29 cobs the vipar housing I'm using is 19x19 but using 6 of the luminous cobs that cost way less than cree 3590 or vero29 50v. cobs this has been a very economical build the drivers hlg240h 54 b I got both off e-bay I've been a few months scrounging things up & researching but it all came together besides the dimmer I have a little 12v. Led indicator light I'm gonna wire to my fan power supply so I can tell at a glance my fans are getting power

Herk, any updates on how this grow turned out?
Yes sorry I've neglected to update got my best yield out of a 3x3 tent @11 oz. on the first run & I feel it's a bit of over kill for the 3x3 & have upgraded to a 4x4 I got it kicked off on the 2nd of this month 6 plants e&f I'm pretty happy with the light so far in the 4x4 I also went with a new strain I'm using sunshine#4 in 2 gal smart pots flooding once daily & using megacrop only 20200906_074016.jpg 20200905_153803.jpg 20200905_153623.jpg 20200905_153458.jpg

Here is the reservoir it's a basic 17 gal tote soon to be replaced with a 20 gal with a lid but so far the tub shades the tote so I don't get algae I built the stand for the tub out of stuff I had laying around I didn't save any pics from the build but its covered on page #3 of my journal 4x4 on a budget hope this helps I just kinda followed the path of least resistance to get this up & running lol 20200915_130053.jpg 20200915_130112.jpg

thank you sir. i'll go check your journal. I'm gonna be following suit into the hydro realm next run, so will likely be borrowing quite a few of your ideas. Any further questions I'll post there so that info stays centralized :)

Glad you find something useful here it's a long journal that's why I directed you to page #3 I've found e&f hydro to be easier & more forgiving than dirt or dwc or even drip systems at one time or another I've tried quite a few methods but none gave me the consistency this does any way I can help feel free to ask on any of my post or journal
