Need a good method to concentrate my excess.

I am sitting on too much cured medicine and was wondering what the best method of concentrating my bounty into a smaller {more potent} size. Don't want any chemicals, butane, whatever, just a clean extract or hash.
Currently making a large batch of RSO. That, I evaporate and fill caps with the end product.
I have a set of 8, 5 gallon ice hash bags and a mini washing machine. When I last used the bags, it was a manual effort. Just 5 gallon buckets, bud and skuff, a huge wooden spoon and a great deal of labor. I won't use more than 4 bags as it seemed to much effort for the returns. I'm sure the washing machine will take most of the drudgery out of the equation.
So, basically I only smoke fresh {after curing}. The concentrate or extract will go into deep storage for emergencies so it must remain stable.

@OldG I am sure has an idea ?it's amazing how long hash can last . I see all my rosin and BHO turn after a while and it's a bummer

I decided to make hash once with all my trim. I borrowed the bags from a friend and he gave me a mixer for my drill like this one. It had the ring around the blades to assure I didn't wreck his bags. This is before all the Chinese knock offs when a 5 set of bags was well over $100.

Worked FANTASTIC! With the drill you can regulate the speed and focus on the up and down action. I can't imagine doing it by hand with a spoon, in fact, after using this I wouldn't even attempt it.

Getcha one of these bad mamma jammas... Work smarter not harder.

I am not a fan of the mixer.

To begin you need a 5 gallon bucket....a good stir stick and good hash bags (Rosin Evolutions 4 bag set for 85.00 is a great investment).

Use the 45 160 and 220 bags stir it gently for 5 to 10 and pour through the bags...repeat repeat repeat until its looking green and beat up.

1 oz of hash takes up very little space. And the more you make...the better you get at it, like all things.

And you can squeeze hash for hash rosin if you want a dab

baby steps man...

Hefty 20 gallon garbage can with a bottom spiggot :D Collapsable boat oar and 1 pound of material.

Hash washer works best at about 10 oz.

Hefty makes prettier hash...low and slow. If I had a viking hat with horns i bet the hash would be EVEN BETTER...i will see what i can dig up.

A hash washer is convenient...but it does not make better hash.

The best hash is made with gentle agitation...the least ice required to keep that water right around the freezing point and you will make the best hash.

Good bags too..Rosin Evolution is the entry level to the great bags. A value and a great bag. I highly recommend them to start out with and you will be ahead of the game.

They also sell fantastic rosin bags and the material by the yard (make your own sift screen material).

Thanks for the reply, I'll get my stuff together next week and give it a go. I plan to use most for hash caps, size 2 for pain and size 0 for sleep. Peace...

I find the cheapest way to do it is....parchment paper in a pizza box or food safe box (ideally you want it to not have bug spray in it as some boxes do).

When the hash is just off of the bag...you put it on that 25 sheet....then sieve it through a kitchen strainer if you can...if its fresh you might have to freeze a ball of it and use a microplane to shave the hash onto the parchment.

Once its superfine....about 7 to 10 days in the fridge in a box...a couple of days less at room temp BUT it will get darker as it oxides more at room temp.

Still head rippa regardless.

For long term cure i like doing the frenchy cannoli hot water bottle decarb in a turkey bag (I cut sheets from turkey bags for it)...then its into a glass jar with a lid. I have a few that are smaller and it works as good as cellophane.

I can do this! Thanks for a quick reply my good man! I'll give it my best tomorrow. If I have success, there will be a encore performance as there's another 2# to go!

Wow, that mini washer saved my ass. I ran 8 zips, 5 times in 3 hours including setup and clean up! I ran 2 different bucket setups. First was 120 micron under a 220 micron. Second was 45 micron under a 160. This worked quite well, so I'll reduce the rest of my older stash in the same fashion.

A good source of quality cellophane I found are flower bouquet wrappers ? they have a few "welded" edges & took a ton of abuse before I could get one to tear while folding up a batch.
