Now see I don't currently have this problem (yet) because we can't actually keep a Mother around for more than a season.... I understand there's phenotypes I've probably had that would have been great to keep but I don't have anywhere I can store them in Winter as of yet.

More like 7 but yeah I'm gonna try and see if we can use one of the tents in the back to store some :)
I am totally blown away by the tight spaces that I still somehow manage to fill with tents. I have forced myself to quit buying tents. Unless one I'm using fails, or, unless they are on sale! Or I get a new barn!!! Possibilities and consequences. Joy...

I don't keep mothers very often. I use what I think of as clone replacement therapy. This is merely keeping 3 healthy clone from whoever is staying in the mix. I Veg and flower 2 and the third is cut up into new clones and repeat. I was using a 2x2x4 tent for a pollen collection zone, away from any pollen receiver. That tent would be tight for full sized moms but would hold plenty of "clone moms" as they will be cut up before they get too large.
Sorry for rambling, My ideas sometimes come to me, as I'm typing. Harmony...

I'm currently at my mom's house (there's a pun there somewhere I'm pretty sure lol) but yeah there's been a few plants that I'd love to have clones of. Reason I want one off site is so that I'm not as concerned about pollen getting on my clothes. Probably OCD but that's also one reason I smoke so much lol.

My Nepal Highland #3 will be 11 weeks from the flip tomorrow. I think it would be beneficial to hold off 1 more week, just to be certain most of the beans will be mature. I put together a winnower made of 4" PVC s&d pipe and fittings and driven by an adjustable speed 4" inline fan. If it works well I'll post some pics. Very seldom have I had an Indica go past 11 weeks but seeds are done when they say so!

I took 2 terminal buds today. Definitely doing another week or so. Thankfully? the next run going in is dragging their feet as bit, so the timing is not as stressor at least! About 75 seeds dropped off while I was yanking excess leaf from said buds. 75% of the beans that dropped were mature! Probably gonna be a few thousand beans before it's over!!!

"Nepal Highland is a 100% pure sativa landrace cannabis strain. This traditional charas strain hails from the Himalayan mountain region of Nepal where it grows at an altitude of between 1000 - 3000 metres. It was brought out of Nepal by The Reeferman and is the 4th generation of in-bred plants..

Tropical Seeds has worked with this strain for about 10 years or so, using it to breed Cognition and Smoth Smoke among others, but this is the first time it has been made available in its pure form to growers in the west. Indoor flowering is quite short for a pure sativa at 60 - 70 days but this reduction in time is due to its heritage in the mountains where it gets very cold in the autumn. Acclimatisation over many, many generations has resulted in this early finishing strain and it will be ready to harvest by mid-October when cultivated outdoors in the northern hemisphere."

Weird smells, liquorice, spice, vinyl and something sharp that I can't quite decipher. Maybe ginger? Very uniform nose across the entire field! I think some of you will want to incorporate this strain into a breeding program, pretty certain I will.
Nice. Spice of life. I would love to grow and hit these with some Lebanese or Syrian pollen. That would be the making of some killer spice cake. ? ?

That sounds so good! Bro that flower time..... on a landrace Sativa; I'd have been money that something that flowers early due to weather, would be in Indica.

They say Nepalese is part of Chemdog's family tree, and maybe that's why people say it's Sativa, or mainly Sativa, and yet Chem D finishes early.

Interesting strain that.

It doesn't have any Sativa Looks to me. Super tight nodes, 5% stretch and the buds are pretty solid. But, what do I know, I only grow them?

You know I've heard from reading Indian Seed Exchange or whatever the landrace site is that some of the pure Indica plants showed narrow leaves at times. Landrace strains are still fairly new for me but I try to read about some of them.

I pulled 1 girl today who was about 70% mature, I will pull1 each day up to Sunday. After Sunday they will most likely get the chop. I have noticed a few nanners on 25% of these but they are tightly closed, so no worries. I have to believe the nanners are genetic because there have been no stressors on them. At this rate, they will make their way back to Phenohunter in about 3 weeks. I want to be certain that most of the moisture is gone before we seal them up. Cheers...
