New here but old in general

Hi everyone. I found out about this site at DCSE, and thought I’d check it out. I've been on another forum for a long time, but never really branched out. Was out of this game for years, but legalization in my state has put me squarely back in. Just introducing myself because it seems like the polite thing to do when you’re in someone else’s house.

Unfortunately, I mistreated my old stock of some pretty awesome genetics and seem to have lost most of it, but I’m slowly restocking. Trying to track down the lineage of these new strains is interesting, but I’m sifting through it all… although I did do the old guy thing and by some classic stuff from Mike at Peaks just to be safe (At least I know what Sweet Skunk and NL is). Running some of that with some BBB gear I got from DCSE.

The one thing I do like better is not having to purchase these things from Europe. Chicago customs is my arch enemy. But I digress.

Hope to see you all around, though I won’t be the guy helping out with answers much as I’m averse to online arguments.

Regards,
Hitch

Welcome! Newbie on here, 4+ decades growing/breeding.

Yes, total understand about customs and now buying from the USA. I was living in SO CO at the time; 'twas rec legal, yet 2 pkgs confiscated. No more. Rare times I buy genetics for auto bx where I'd use Midweek Song. Have enough for different hybrids.

Great handle. Alfred is one of the best!

Look forward to your experiences.

Welcome Hitch!
Sound like we may share the same Land of Lincoln background, although I'm a down state kinda guy.
I also started my journey on another site filled with arguing and bickering, I'm so happy I was invited to this forum.
None of that foolishness here, just a really great group that are always willing to help a guy out, even an inexperienced grower like myself.
The longer you're here the more you will understand what I mean.
There is a fair bit on here about preserving the old school strains, that may be of interest to you.
Good luck getting back in the swing of things.
Cheers,
WillieP
