New light & tent what will take me into the new year

Hi Herk, great setup you got going there. I wish I had met you sooner, would have told you that although this Spider Farmer tent has the easy access you are looking for, (I had the same motivation after seeing my mate cramp his neck getting into the back of his 4 x 4 when filled with plants), the problem with this tent is that is sucks in about a foot in the center. So when having a full grow, the actual space in the middle is not 2 feet but 1, since the backside sucks in just as bad.

See my Gelato grow review to see how much space you lose, my canopy is completely concave because of it.

To solve this I'm building a frame inside with some extra poles I'm ordering. Secret Jardin has parts available, also for this tube diameter, that allow for installing extra sidebars.
Haven't found anyone who actually had the parts in stock...

Well, this one seems to have it in stock now for Holland, let me know if you like this solution I can order a few and send them to you. The pipes you can get anywhere in the states.

You can also opt for an inlet fan, to counter the vacuum, I find it too much hassle to precisely counter both airflows.

And I sincerely advise you (also in shedgow) to close off all the holes in the bottom that suck in dirty air. I kept 2 open but put in a round hepa filter.
The others I closed off with duct tape, you will pull in funghi from your damp shed, as well as spores, smaller critters, dust and hair, etc.

See the amount of dust and crap, this is well vacuumed attic, still this after couple of weeks

They are for a smaller humidifier and cost a couple of bucks....

And As a final point, take some flexpipe, install it on the lowerintakes, flatten them so they don't take up growspace that much and guide the cold air over the light / heater first instead on your plants directly. It will a/ cool the lamps for longer lifespan, b/ warm the air, so less cold shock / stress and more even temps in the space...

I'm gonna have to evaluate this as I have a similar idea with 1/2 inch pvc pipe meanwhile playing with security system 20211027_163012.jpg 20211027_162954.jpg

Dogs are excellent repellants! The 1/2 inch pvc pipe will get sucked in I will tell you now. I underestimated the force of a vacuum too :)
I'm not getting much movement inward running the single fan we will see when I add the second fan the skin on my tent very tight

You've got me curious I'm gonna put the second fan in tomorrow, fire it up & see how things behave I took these fans out of my 3x3 (9sq ft.) The 2x4 is( 8sq ft.) So a bit smaller I dont use the centrifugal fans or carbon filters that are noisy & high vacuum

I've only got a few more things to address & this is gonna be kicking off I got my funnel setup as this is gonna be drain to waste the oversize drip pans are in & my plants are growing & as always one plant doing better than the other almost time for their first topping which will slow them a bit for now but make up for it later on 20211103_124118.jpg 20211103_123410.jpg 20211103_123338.jpg 20211103_123325.jpg 20211103_123320.jpg
