Opium smells delicious... I was born in the early 80s so I didn't ever have access to some thing around my way, but after reading about it (I was confused how a plant could do something like that at the time so I put effort into research even though I was young) and eventually I realized that the seeds at every grocery store, were Papaver Somniferum "Persian Blue" Poppy Seeds.
I decided to give it a go (I was pretty young) and ordered extra types off the net, and ran them. The flowers were beautiful with a very floral scent that.... I'm not gonna lie I LOVE that smell. My inexperience was no match for how easy these things grew, including me sticking them outside too early and them surviving snow cover LOL. But yeah bro, VERY floral smell unlike any flower...

Did u score the pods and harvest and everything? When I was in Cali way back we were taken to an opium field and taught how to score, harvest and even make ingestible or smokeable opium. Was an absolute trip I’ll never forget as long as I live. And ironically the person that brought us is a hip hop legend now…. Ahh the good old days

Yeah, I used a Serrated Knife to gently slice the pod, and then left the white latexy "Milk of Paradise" to sit on the pod until it was dark brown, and then I used a butter knife to scrape that off. You have to be careful with those Pods though; The seeds spread like wild fire. And unlike Weed, if you get caught with those plants; it's not a slap on the wrist, it's jumper cables on your nuts LOL.
I haven't done that in a very long time personally. But that smell is hard to not love LOL.

Is that "Mother of all Berries" ? The In law got a plant called "MOAB" and when looking it up I noticed it can be more than one thing.

Maine's Own Blueberry, Mother of Berries, might be a few other names. I'm not sure which one is correct. But this is is the legit cut. Not an S1 of S2. Supposedly Jerry Berry x DJ Short Blueberry. I think Jerry Berry is a Freezeland cut?

My plan is to cross MOB with Blue Magoo BX3 from Dynasty, and hopefully increase the potency of MOB, while also creating a bulletproof fast finishing hybrid for growing outdoors. I wanted to cross MOB with the Blueberry F9 I have, but the guy who sent me these cuts already made the cross.
No worries though, I've got Blue Moonshine, Old Time Moonshine, 90s Blues, and Blue Magoo BX2 and BX3. I'm sure I'll find something worthy of crossing with her.
Could always do a BX project too. Might do something crazy, and cross her to something like Mr Green Genes Cherry Bomb. The possibilities are endless really.

I've not grown it yet. I've got seedstock from RC Colas, who found a Highland Thai dominant Blue Moonshine phenotype, and then bred for it. It's a super rare phenotype in that line.

I was thinking about asking you about your blueberry stock because I have some Mayberry S1 (Blue Star) beans in storage that might need a mate . Any thoughts ?

@Josh Blue would be the one to ask about Mayberry (Blue Star S1). He's a good dude, and a friend of mine. I think he gave me a big Blue Star joint when I met him a couple of years ago. I remember it smelled heavily of Blueberry. It was excellent herb.
Blue Star is his flagship line. He has literally spent years and years on perfecting it. The male selection alone was very thorough. I believe it's Deathstar x Whitaker Blues. I've grown an unreleased line from Josh with the same Whitaker Blues father as the original Blue Star, but a Blueberry mom and it did not disappoint. Had that red wine seltzer (Josh's description) Blueberry nose to it, and was way more potent than I expected. Mayberry probably won't have a lot in common with the line I grew though.
The Blueberry line I have is technically at F9, since DJ releases BB at F5. It was bred for 3 gens by my other friend Mystic Funk (Cryptic Labs), then I did a small reproduction. It's bred toward the Blueberry muffin smelling side, and the plants themselves are very squat and indica for the most part. The stems are mostly green, which is something I saw Reeferman mention as well. He said that as BB is bred toward the more blueberry smelling side, it gets more Indica, and the stems are mainly green.
I think they could make a good pairing. The BB line I have has big glossy dark green leaves, and looks like an Afghani. The short ones with the blunted tops are the really berry ones. I wouldn't recommend growing them outdoors though. Unless you live in a dry climate, they get PM easily, especially the short ones, and the short ones also trigger into flower very early.

I live in VT, so an indoor grow with your BB sounds pretty good to me on its own, and possibly pairing it with a Blue Star sounds good too, like you mentioned.
I’m not sure when I would get to this project, but DM on the way...

I've not had straight Blueberry Muffin, but man the Blueberry Muffin X Blue Cheese I ran this past season is good. Tastes like Blueberry Yogurt lol.

That sounds very tasty!! Was it Humboldt Seed Co Blueberry Muffin? I was going to buy a cut, but heard mixed reviews. They apparently don't have one, but several different cuts on the market. That doesn't mean the seeds are bad or anything.
I love Blueberry Yogurt!! Noosa is incredible! They use whole milk, which makes it very tasty.
