BLR/GSS x Huckleberry Kush ladies, and a single tiny little Tartar Kush F3 x Huckleberry Kush female. She's been pollinated heavily by the BLR/GSS x Huck male.. Not for any particular purpose. Just because she's there. She smells like Bubblegum. Lots of plants in the Tartar Kush line have that smell. Day 17 after flip.. In the clear back is the pot where I tried to reveg that gorgeous BLR/GSS x Huck female from the beginning of my thread. She didn't make it, but I left the pot in the tent. I suppose I could throw some little seeds in there and let them grow on 12/12 just to get a look at them. Maybe the Furkle seeds I made last Summer. That's right Furkle, maybe I'll explain that sometime.

I tried to get more rice hulls from my hydro stores and they were telling me the whole sales were having issues cause the mice kept damaging the bags/product/eating it lol. didn’t ask but damn I used to be able to get that and now even rice hulls are hard to get lol
I got mine from a home brewing website. I can't remember which one. So Co brewing or something like that. I got 15lb for just about $33. That was including shipping.

Update: Day 25 of 12/12 (for the girls)
The BLR/GSS x Huckleberry Kush male seems to be pretty much tapped out. Not totally, as he's still dropping a bit of pollen. I have collected a lot, and should have plenty for this and future projects.

In the foreground, (left side) is a tiny Tartar Kush x Huckleberry Kush girl. She's about as far along in flowering as the male. About 6 weeks now. The same males (mainly one of them) who fathered the BLR/GSS x Huckleberry Kush, fathered this plant as well. She's fully seeded. I don't have any plans for these seeds really, I just wanted to have a look at the Tartar Kush x Huck Kush, and it just happened that I had another project on the go.

IMG_20230209_222320232_HDR.jpg

Here's a group shot of the girls. They are taking their dear sweet time to flower. Despite showing pre flowers before I flipped to 12/12, they sure are maturing slowly. They are mainly bushy, short, squat plants. The branching is incredibly solid. No need for staking them.. There's not much smell coming on yet, but hopefully soon...

I've got a new light on the way, and it should be here on Monday. It's a California Light works 200 watt Solar Xtreme LED. It's being sold as refurbished, but it's actually brand new with a 3 year warranty. It's also made in the USA. The company have upgraded their COBS to something else, so this light is now considered obsolete.

Screenshot_20230210-170715-027.png

But for $135 shipped to my door, it seemedike a great deal. I can finally retire my other California Lightworks Veg Master 100 LED. This light is apparently suited for a full cycle, so I'll be able to use it for both veg and bloom.

Lastly, here's my veg tent.

There's the Blue Magoo BX3, Tartar Kush S1 (maybe, I'm not totally sure), Tartar Kush F3 V.1, Tartar Kush F3 V. 1 x Family Vault Purple, Huckleberry Kush 4 #10 F3, and a single Chemo seedling from my buddy's repro (who sent me a shit load of seeds). It's pretty runty though..

I'll be happy to replace this California Lightworks blurple light for something newer. I originally bought it on 2014, for $200. At the time, $200 was a great price. It's served it's purpose, and in a pinch I could use it again. The other light is a little 5000k HLG clone light. I really need to transplant the seedlings into 1/2 gallon pots. I'll do that this weekend. If I have time...

I thought so too. I found a 15% off coupon, which is why I got it for $135 instead of $159, which is what it was listed for. Even at $159, that's a good deal. I don't know if their PAR measurements are accurate or not, but I don't think I'll find a better deal on a brand new light with a 3 year warranty anywhere else.
Really interested in how you like the new light I been eyeing that deal myself I am fairly new to leds (couple 3 years) I just installed one of their UV lights she will burn leaves even at 5ft from plants…. How is the huckleberry kush? Real huckleberry or use your imagination?

Hi there. Thanks for dropping by. Yeah, I have heard that UV lights have quite a learning curve. I have one, but don't use it. Not from California Lightworks, but from another company. I've heard that you should only have it on for a really short amount of time per day, because otherwise it'll burn your plants. I have heard that UV (especially UVB) does increase potency.

I'll definitely document how this LED works. I've bought LED from several companies over the years. My first was a California Lightworks 100 watt Veg Master back in 2014. I've had Mars Hydro, Timber, HLG, and Budget LED grow lights. They all do a decent job of growing weed. Buying my first COB light in 2016 from Timber was a huge game changer though, compared to my Mars Hydro blurple that I used for flowering before that

Huckleberry Kush does have some smells in the line. It had a wide spectrum of smells in the F1. Everything from berry, to fermented fruit, to Bubba Kush, to effervescent citrus, to grapefruit. The one constant is that it's got good potency. A few phenotypes were almost too strong for casual smoking. I made a few different lines of F2, and now have some F3. I selected for the kushy side, rather than the fruity side. Huck Kush breeds pretty true from what I can tell. I have crossed it to a lot of things.

Okay so you've ran Cobs before, Was wondering that. Have a feeling you're going to love that light. I got the silver one and it runs pretty cool, I think @Gentlemancorpse has the cob version. Mine's a great light but you need the controller to get the most out of it. Excited to hear about it tho

Have you run the Blue Magoo before, I know the bx3 is fairly new, but was curious if the Blue Magoo line is worth the price of admission from a medicinal standpoint?
I’m guessing there’s a reason your running it? :)

I've not ran the Blue Magoo actually, or any of the various bx versions from Dynasty up until now. I also have a pack of the BX2 as well. But I do trust the description that Professor P wrote for it. His description of Huckleberry Kush was 100% accurate for the most part, so I'm confident that this line will have great medicinal value as well.

It's hard sometimes to distinguish what is hype, and what is legit with regard to buying seeds (in anything really), but he's someone who's word I would take seriously. He also stands behind his work, and will make things right if there's an issue. I wouldn't call him a friend, but we've interacted online many times, and he's always been really good to me.

Beyond that, it's got Blueberry in it, along with William's Wonder, so I'm familiar with the lineage of Blue Magoo. I'm a big Blueberry fan in general, so the Blue Magoo is already in my wheelhouse. As excited as I am to actually grow these, I am more excited to see what filial breeding them, and crossing them to other things look like. From a breeding point of view, these seeds are incredibly valuable, because they should breed very true. I've already got several F1 in mind that I want to make.

I always find out for myself. I hear all the time how good or bad this or that is and it's rarely the same experience. Best of luck man hope they work out for ya ?

I’m running Alaskan Blueberry Cheese (veg) and have run his Cough bx and Thunderfruit, so I’m familiar with the goods.
The longer this goes, the more interested in stains that have medicinal qualities. I’ve got plenty of stuff just to get “stoned”!
Thanks for responding, looking forward to your grow show.
This conversation cost me $150 bucks! :stoned:

I saw where you posted Professor P sent you seeds direct, is there a direct line to his offerings?
Pretty happy dealing with Labyrinth, but…..
I don't think there is. Not that I've seen anyway. In my case, I had germ issues that were more than likely my fault (I told him that) but he sent me more seeds anyway + a pack of something else that I didn't ask for. On his own dime (he didn't ask me for anything). I actually didn't ask for anything either. Btw, for good prices on his gear, check out chitown seed bank. Their prices are pretty much the best for his gear that I have seen.

I have a pretty good rapport with Prof P. It's not like we're pals, but we've DMed back and forth. There was a seed auction a while back for a child who's face was badly disfigured by a Pitbull, and I helped to facilitate getting some of Prof P's genetics into it. I sent some of my own offerings as well. I contacted several people, and Prof P I think was the only one who followed through. I always rep Dynasty, and have since about 2015, and always will.

Curious about that light, but i'm a light dummy. What would you compare it to as far as wattage of HID lighting?
I have seen lots of companies say different things about light equivalency. Some are really generous, and will say their 200 watt led replaces a 400 watt HID. California Lightworks are conservative, and compare theirs to a 250 watt HID. So according to what they've said, it's not a huge upgrade, but for the price, a lifespan of 50,000 hours +, and 3 year warranty, I'd say it's a good deal. It's not top of the line, but it'll probably grow good weed.

:ROFLMAO: I had just left there to see if there were options before I checked out!
On sale too.
Thanks!

Never had any issues, think I got three F out five Alaskan BC.
Good to know he’s accessible, he posted a intro on BB, not sure if he’s active.

This has me thinking about digging out some stored Cough bx.
I ran AKBB Consumption at the same time, not sure why exactly, but I like the Cough better.
Both hella vigorous.
