OldG's QUANTUM SHIFT Organic Garden. it about Jadam time !

i am growing Jadam out door...i had maybe 150 feet of veg and this year i am going to 300.

what I have learned from growing weed has helped me grow food...what i have learned from growing food has helped me growing weed.

Jadam.. I say it like a mantra but it makes sense to me..Sense because we are killing the earth with our behavior...and our pounding crops to the soil with chemical nutes and tractors compacting and adding chemical salts to make the soil useless...

And I really had no idea until I read this book. About how 20 20 20 and shit like that actually HARMS the soil...the worms...the earth.

I have been growing for 5 years...and I was wrong for a lot of it...but i am ok with that. I learn faster than a lot of people and if you use logic will always prevail !

Jadam everywhere for me...the concept at least...and outdoor full jadam.

Salts are getting sold...i do not wish to use them anymore. I would rather master organic growing. I have tasted a hint of the other side...

It is PROVIDENCE !

A better idea for the tester tote. This should hold 8 of the 6 x 6 x 6 floraflex pots (or 8 of the 1 gallons). I can make one of these out of a 4 gallon as well and put both flat in the 2 x 4 tent. 12 to 16 will fit for testing :D

I was thinking about this for a while now....and i cleaned up my basement and all my gear and started sorting it out. There is a PVC skeleteal frame under the plastic grid to support the weight. Drain to waste. 16 gallon tote beside a 14 gallon tote....the res is 14 gallons so it cant leak ! (I think about that a lot).

BALLS.... A plant labelled C99 that is clearly not C99..... one great thing about having got nuts trying all kinds of strains is....i have a nose for what things are IF I grew it before.

And that LEMON...is purple primate. seeds planted at the same time as c99 and it makes sense.

The balls were down LOW. The plant was 3 feet off the ground with a 10 inch pot. 10 inches off the top of the pot....the bottom of the lowers i had left had balls all over. WHY??? Oh i will tell you why... :D

The lux meter has really shown me the light... And your numbers drop off A LOT sooner than I though they did. And In order to cover an area you need a lot more light than you think you do...

HPS goes WAY deeper to keep at 20k LUX than boards or cobs....Cobs are next and then are boards.

And I want 20k lux. For veg too. After playing with various lights in the 2 x 2 i think they still work a lot better when they have lots of watts. Just keep them watered.

This is not bad...It just means i have to really adjust how i grow.

Tents will get nets to help me keep them the right height and have a pruning cut off point.

If it is under HPS i can go 2 feet. I will adjust the space to have more intense light over a smaller area instead of more coverage over a bigger area...the goal is 75k lux on top of all flowering buds. 50k as a min.

All cultivars
I will veg them and train them HARD in veg...let them heal 7 days and put into bloom. At that point no heavy training except to keep the fuzz budds off the shaved legs.
Veg is 6 to 10 weeks depending on pot size.

Super Soil only

Organic inputs only.

I also culled Magnum...i will plant another seed later i need time to grieve my stupidity.

In the drink...County Line..4th Gear, Females Banana Hash Plant and G13 Genius and some rado doho X cookie crisp.

In April they go into bloom. :D Maybe one will end up outside in a 25 gallon planter...mu ha ha

when i am stoned other than giggling all day and doing stuff i think deep thoughts about how to make shit better.

This growbox I must keep....my first ever indoor grow was a grandmas secret garden...the biggest rippoff in cannabis growing history

I have moved pretty far a long but i keep that box to remind me that we all come from somewhere...and you guys who feel hopelessly lost...I cant do this...I can honestly say you are damned right you can !!!

If you are having trouble with water systems get rid of it...get 5 gallon pots 2 parts ocean forest and 1 part happy frog and water it...flip it week 6 and get a decent organic top dress and add 1/4 cup to each planter every 2 weeks and water it...thats it !

So simple a kid could do it.

I started complicated...coco coir...then water systems and i thought that was easy...the fine balance of ph and TDS and N P K with fake buffers...so natural eh.

I had a citrus milf get huge that took 1 gallon of water a day for 60 days. For an RO machine that is a total plant life of 150 gallons of water for 10 oz...and that bothered me... a lot

not just the cost but as i read and absorb knowledge i realize i must minimize my impact on the earth...and this is not the way.

Organic soil...my entire garden takes max 10 gallons of water per day. And with organic soil i am at about a 1 1/4 pound a month grow rate...this is ground zero and i just GOT IT on a few things the last grow...i adapted...and the LUX METER is a GAME CHANGER !!!

Hold my beer and watch this !!!

I put the growbox back on board...top shelf 20k lux (planters boosting height) bottom is 6500
DSC_0292 (1).JPG
2 x 4 tent...looking good. Fed just water down to TDS 600 (tapering off 10 30 20 jacks)
DSC_0294 (1).JPG
I moved things around..The lux meter showed me that the best way to grow in the 32 special is more like this...1 plant...put the net down and move the tops all around to spread out the best of the light. What a machine...GET ONE !!! it will improve your grow.

GrowBox back in Operation....15k lux on top of those pots and i think its enough...they are loving it so far. I just keep the door open a crack and havve not used the fan yet...soon as i find a power bar with about 5 to 6 feet of cord it will be running

This morning I started off with Rattlesnake Diesel X Black Lights....it is ok. Gasoline Diesel and earthy notes.

The next doob was welchie...the bud had no seeds which might be promisning....and it is a frosty sledgehammer...like berry kush. but KUSH...berry. Fantastic smoke.

I have been harvesting out a plant or 2 daily for the last week or 10 days.. 2 are in the dark for 24 more and then they are going to chop and hang with the other 3 in there. FloraFlood will be harvested immediately after and then things slow down a bit...

Now that the 5s have had time to veg i like them a lot better. I will stick to 5s and 7s and might go to 10s because the buds can fatten up ! they just need more roots.

And the right strains...some flourish this way.

Black Grapes DumDum in 3 gallons of soil that was vegged longer than the others...that really helps too.

Super Lemon Crunch....CRUNCHING IT ! Albino boogieman is the only plant sharing the space.

Some shots of cultivars I am really looking forward to...and i do say that a lot.
Greenpoint A-Dub....an original pack. I dont care how long it takes. This one is going in a 10 gallon. She wont stretch much and she would fill a 32 really nice in a 10 gallon...
currently in a 2.3 gallon.

Hey G hope all is good man. Your garden is looking great as always sir?. Just wanted to say thanks for explaining things the way you do. I have learned mucho from you. Your growing in coco was inspiring and made me switch from organics. Things change for a reason and I appreciate and understand you going to organics and hope the best for you and your garden, you'll rock it I'm sure.??

This morning i realized with all the salts...water systems are still running in coco to use up masterblend.

Autopots and floraflex are back in play !

This is the only way i can keep them apart or the PH is all over the place...the nutes are all over....and then IT IS ALL OVER !!!!

i might have to do a comparison run at some point down the road just to see how much difference there is. :D You always need something down the road to make it EXCITING again !

Like the Tazmanian Devil on a Bugs Bunny !

Man o man loving what you got going on sir, I'm currently halfway through that book and I wanted to say thank you publicly for sharing it, what a fucking eye opener lol but holy shit does it all make sense to my logical common ass, I'll be getting an organic journal going here real soon lots of changes in the works for me, and I honestly wouldn't have found this path without this journal sir so again thanks for making your change public,

Ps can't wait to try this stuff out on my veggies ??? local farmers market better be ready I'm coming for em ???

You guys made my day ! And the veggies man. I did a semi organic last year and it was really unreal. Someone explained it to me and NOW i get it.

Its all about the ability of a plant to produce its sugars. We can force it to produce bigger stuff but the sugars do not increase at a linear rate. It is more like the sugars are shared with the mass.

So that is why organic buds taste sweeter....more intensely fruity. TERPS !!!

The produce is sweeter too...tastes better in every way. It may not be a plate sized tomato but i grew a san marzano that we ate from for 6 weeks and i filled 4 large zip locks with cherry red ones for soups and such. It produces very well.

Frimpong sent me some awesome stuff. Purple City Genetics Durban X Banana OG X Gushers. I had it in recyled soil and it was not a fan...yesterday i got a couple of these fancy fabric pots. The top 80% of the pot has a plastic liner so it wont seep out the sides.

10 gallon pot. This is the biggest planter i have ever used inside.
Filled with KIS soil (7g) and rice hulls (2 1/2G) . I dont care how long it takes....i wonder how big it will get...I am grooming this one right...big manifolded stems to support the massive colas i intend to grow on her.
8 would be the OctoStone 10 the Deca Mater 12
18....i like that a lit....the OCTODECIMATER ~!!!

Banana OG x F1 Durb x Gushers by Purple City Genetics, a cannabis variety with an exotic fuel aroma and a high potency.

It is a triple-banded marijuana hybrid, Banana OG (Ghost OG x Sagarmartha's 60/40 "Banana pheno"), F1 Durb (AKA Cherry Pie Kush = Durban Poison x Chemdawg) and Gushers (Gelato #41 x Triangle Kush).

i have at least 6 weeks i figure before its hitting bloom...10 week strain

The 2 square pots are Frimpongs Blackberry Sugarcane
The other 2 pots are Frimpongs Whitebread Auto.

DSC_0334.JPG Day 51 for Super Lemon Crunch...where does the time go. Autopots are so easy. And they made a sock that is on the exterior of the pot so it works a lot better.
DSC_0345.JPG DSC_0339.JPG The autopot company has recently come out with the best application of their idea i have seen. I think it is the best bottom feeder EVER. And they made them with bigger water lines so they will not clog (3/8s instead of 1/4)
They made them to fit in a 2 x 4 or a 3 x 3 or a 4 x 4 tent...Genius or WHAT !!
if you are looking for a system that is super easy and the lowest maintenance of any i have found this is truly it.

Hey @OldG I was hoping you may be able to help since you have ran the autopots. I have a friend with a shit ton of them but he's having issues with dry spots in pots, not wicking evenly. He's using a 70/30 peat moss/perlite mix. I didnt know if it was too heavy or what. Thought I would ask you first, thanks man.
