After running some production on some keepers it's Back on the Hunt...3 strains, some stuff I want to play with for a bit if something nice turns up...Vermont Kush...Las Vegas purple Kush x Lambs Breath or Trainwreck(that's what the label said)...and Kryptonite(Indica)...I like to see if plants really speak to me so I picked one from each strain that caught my attention first...excited about these.

The Vermont Kush plants are all looking REALLY nice and all but one have the double serrated leafs...the only info I have on the cross is where it came from and what it was like..."Classic got the Vermont Kush seeds from a friend in Santa Cruz. He said he traded a breeder out of Vermont for them yrs ago. He got the seeds around 2010. The breeder said they turn out a lot like Kings Kush which is Grape Ape x OG Kush"...These seeds were in a freezer for quite a few years and the germ rate I got was very good.

The stout little Kryptonite gal has some bud site leaves going on and I'm betting it comes from the Bro Grim side of the cross... 95% of the leaves with bud sites that I have come across have been from Grim lines in all my years of growing. Kryptonite is Mendo Purps x Killer Queen.

Beautiful plants. Still using the Bud Explosion?
No...I am using just Dyna Gro....grow & protekt in veg...foliage pro, bloom, mag pro and protek in flower....been playing around with far red lighting and extended flowering hours with better results in a combination of terps profile and larger harvest....some strains seem to really like the far red and more hours of light last couple of weeks.

Far Red light is 730nm and the at the far end of the light spectrum...An end-of-day Far Red application can decrease the flowering cycle by up to 15%. That’s because FR helps signal the shortening day length that plants would naturally experience outdoors.
By adding far red for 15min. at lights out early on in flower I have been able to add 1hr of light week 7 and another hour week 8 for a noticeable difference in strains I previously ran 12/12 till finish. It also helps with plants with a big strech stay much more manageable in limited space.
Since I never flush and just run my nutes down to much lower levels I have found when doing this I can feed at a bit higher than normal level during late flower and the plants really pack on bud size and weight.
I have mainly been messing with 10 week strains and trying to shorten them a week or more...I have been doing the same thing over and over again for so long with everything dialed in with great success and excellent quality that I finaly got bored with it and I was always an 8 or 9 week strain guy and shyed away from 10 + week strains so now With my experimenting I have been exploring some with positive results in putting them in line with my style of growing.
Next I want to take a proven 68 day strain I run and try to get the same results running it closer to 60 days.
I am by no means an expert at this and it is just experimenting with something new to me using already known science.
