URGENT Question Outdoor help !!!

2 questions here guys, 1 can I feed my Jack's nutrients to my outdoor soil plants, they're going into flower now and I wanna make sure they are fed well during flower, if I do it what ppm should I shoot for, they are in organic pro mix based soil 13 gal smart pots. And 2 how much can I prune and or defoliate on these outdoor gals, I go way hard inside but now we're talking soil and sunlight vs hydro and LEDs, it's been humid as hell here at night and I'd like to thin them out a little to help with airflow, bit don't want to stunt or shock them, any pointers are greatly appreciated

Humidity was my main reason for asking about pruning etc our humidity here at night is basically 100 so I've been getting really worried about pm and budrot later they are starting to do their thing now, sooo neglected they are lol no feedings at all yet no love at all just nasty ass Oklahoma weather and what was in my soil mix
Sulfur is a proactive way to fight pm

@GthaEnigma what preventive measures do you take to combat the mildew outdoors? I am in the Northeast part of the states and the super high humidity has been a battle the last couple of weeks. Although i grow indoors it still affects me in a negative way. Running a dehumidifier 24/7 is not cheap. Plus i have to hump the water out of the room as i have no where to drain it. However if i were outdoors i no things would be a lot worse.
i live in the north east as well you need a good strain for outside the only thing that slows it down that been working for me is bakingsoda mix with dish soap and oil
i mix 1 gal water to 2 teaspoon of baking soda 1 tsp soap non detergent and oil like veggie or soy its doesn't get rid of it it will keep it from spreading
make sure you spray underneath the leafs and the main stems once a week not sure on useing this for flowering but for flowers i would use peroxide and water
i have the same issue on a few strains i am running the best strain i found for outside is LSD no rot no mildew just a late finisher
sorry for any typeing errors as i am very baked :stoned:

This season I have been using ionized ph'd water, Kangen Water. I alternate between 2.5 ph, also known as hypochloric acid, and 11.0 ph water. It kills mold, mildew, and all mites. The 2.5 is the same stuff opthamologists use to kill mites on eyelashes, so it is completely safe for humans and animals but death to all soft bodied insects. so far it has been very effective at keeping these ladies pm free. I spray at the first sign, starting with 2.5. Three days inbetween. Has only taken 1 cycle per treatment to stop spread. I have plants 4 ft away COVERED in pm. Just too much to try to treat so i just focus on the ladies.
so i feel i need to update this post. the kangen while very effective on pm, is virtually useless on two spot mites. I have had a flare up of these bastards on one of my plants. i isolated a leaf in seperate tupperware and sprayed one with each end of the spectrum. in both cases they fucking laughed and carried on. So while i can recommend this for pm, don't believe their claims of mite lethality.

Id mark the question answered but i dont know how, and are mites soft bodied at all in their life cycle if so BT could help disrupt their breeing cycle, and for the outdd door pm prevention id try silica in abundance in the feed and as a foliar when possible, it helps on many different fronts

I'm in MA and I'm just waiting for the PM to start showing it's ugliness with all this humidity and the rise in temps yesterday and today. I told myself I was going to make my outdoor plants as low stress of a grow as possible, so I might spray them if I start to see signs of PM, but I'm not going to kill myself trying to save them if they get bad. they do still look beautiful right now, though.

I had an awesome thread on pm on another forum i may go grab it lol was pretty good reading
Please do. I have been feeding with kelp/humic, silica, cal/mag. All in powder from kelp4less.com
@Jewels is ped me to understand the strategic benefits of sulfur early on this year. I spotted some early july on the undergrowth. Bye bye larf!! I sprayed a couple three times before flower. On the hot days it burnt the tips a little. Some more affected than others. I have a bunch of strains so I can get a couple to finish is the hope. The slugs hate the sulfur too! They dry and shrivel up. Its very satisfying. I am hoping the staking to seperate an gets a tge air flowing.

It showed up on two outdoor plants here within the past week. I plucked and sprayed them w/green cure. Gets me nervous enough to order some Potassium Bicarbonate............just in case. $12 for an lb on the bay. What zone are you in Charlie? I'm 6a.

BTW, are you having issues with winter moth caterpillars out there? I have heard from at least 3 people in zone 6a who have had their plants destroyed by them this year.

No, no issues so far. Tomato fruit worms, bud worms are a small issue though. I think they are the same actually and they eat corn and peppers too. I spray BT every few days on the plants that I can, so far so good.
