Shoot my little black and white one pulls the covers over herself every night . I am very thankful i have my other dogs to comfort me over loosing my old girl. All of mine are spoiled rotten. Worse than a pack of teenagers wanting to go swimming in the pool everyday(constantly bugging me to let them go). Thank goodness i have the pool fenced in now they used to jump in and try to come right back thru the dog door into the house.

This one will literally dig at my back and wake me out of a dead sleep if he manages to get out from under the covers... He is ruthless. Ill tell you I sure did appreciate him out those cold nights out on the road in the trailer tho. So I guess its a fair trade off lol.... As athletic as he is, for whatever reason I cant seem to get this one to want to swim... Still trying to crack that code lulz...

I used to train labs years for duck hunting. You had to be really careful about introducing a dog to water . You want it to be a very pleasant introducing experience. Make them want to get something from the water that they want badly and they will go( no real cold water to start)
Handsome boy! The picture with him looking at the collar is priceless.Let me introduce you all to my new friend. He does not have a name yet, but some that have been tossed around are George, Junior, Boomer and Vinnie. I like to wait to see their personality so the name fits. He’s pure bred American Pit Bull Terrier and six weeks old! He’s been with us for two days now and he has acclimated very well to the kids, the other two doggos and he tries to play with the cat, but she’s not having it! Metaphorically speaking, he has a big collar to fill. The collar he’s looking at is from Bailey, my blue pit I lost in June. I know he’s got a good spirit guiding him though!
I will update photos here as he grows and when we get the hydro store open, you will be able to stop in and meet him in person! View attachment 40948 View attachment 40950 View attachment 40951

You guys will take good care of each other You're both luckyI had a rotweiller shepherd cross that came with the name george bush.
My wife could not abide....Thor was close enough to get him to come so he became Thor and there was a used car dealeship called thor motors.
And he did... So he was Thor Motors.
I really screwed that dog up...hyper protective worried about biting stuff. But he was 100 pounds of protection for the wife while i business travelled for 3 years.
If I even pretended to flick her with my finger his hackles would get up and he would smile...but not nicely...and he loved me. One time my mom said wow your dog sure loves those beef sticks you got him...i fed him half the pack...MOM THATS MY BEEF JERKY !!
This time around I am training the dog. With a clicker so anyone can walk her !
My hands feel like they were in a meat tenderizer but its worth it. and she is way better mostly just keep your head up...oh puppies. And i spend about 3 hours a day outside now and that is good for both of us.
She can still get all cat on a leash too...pocket full of kibble to the rescue.
Sandy the 10 week old border collie X golden retriever.

That’s gonna be a very smart and loving mix. I love border collies. Careful with tennis balls. They’re like sandpaper and will grind down their teeth especially if they’re ball crazy. My boy had his ground down to the point I had to pull a bunch of teeth just to make him comfy again. Really helped him, came back full of life after that. Congrats on the new member to the family OldG!I had a rotweiller shepherd cross that came with the name george bush.

Racquet balls for the win. If you haven't tried them yet give em a go. Pretty much indestructible and wont hurt anything. My old dog could eat through a bowling ball in 45 minutes, basketball 2 minutes, tennis ball 4 minutes, racquet ball never.Careful with tennis balls

“Kong” toys don’t last for shit either. My buddy had to buy a horse kettleball for his Cane Corso. Ya it’s flat but damn does that dog love it ? btw RIP 3 basketballs lolThat guy pictured above is the same. A soccer ball last about 10 seconds. Those "indestructible dog bones" sometimes make it through an evening.
