Hey Dank, in a nut shell a *Reversal* means to spray STS or CS on a female plant to block the plants natural ethylene production and force the female plant to produce
only male parts during flower. Once fully reversed and flowered with male parts, it will produce pollen that will make feminized seeds from whatever female it is used on. This method is not induced by stress, but by chemical hormones being inhibited inside of the plant. Totally different than the practice of stressing a plant to the point of showing
some male parts. The stress method is how fem seeds were first introduced to the industry decades ago, but is no longer practiced (at least by anyone with any knowledge) since CS and STS get the job done in a totally different and far less stressful manner. If a feminized plant from seed shows intersex traits, the traits were there from one (or both) of the parent stock before anything was ever even reversed. The STS or CS method will not pass along or add any more "hermie" traits than what was already there prior to the STS or CS application. Some strains pair well and others just simply dont. A Punnett Square can aid in refining a breeders ultimate end goal and help create strains that dont carry a high percentage of undesireable traits like intersexing etc. Hope this helps clear up some of your confusion. Any further explaining Id need a few more pages of Frims journal lol (sorry
@Frimpong )
