First off my setup is a 4 x 4 with a SE 1000w hps.
I also have a short 2 x 4 running 400w of hps.
I run in promix with the greenleaf megacrop line and have been for a year maybe 2 years.
Currently running useful seeds sunny diesel and respect genetics hb#1 x goji og. I think that's what the cross is.
Pics coming tomorrow I forgot to take some tonight.
Also I have a reveg of a dds about to go back into flower in the small tent.

Thank you for the warm welcome.
Heres a shot of the 4 sunny diesels and 3 out of 5 of the respect genetics gear.
The other 2 popped up there just not in the pic.
There about 3 days old. The 4 smaller cups in the back are the sd.
More to come as things progress.
I really want to switch to hydro but I'm worried I'll screw it up.
Sorry for the lights being on I was too lazy to shut it off.

Try one of these. I have 'several' using Hefty Totes. Easy, fast, cheap, low maintenance.

It took a week or 2 longer than I'm use to but now it's got a ton of growth. I don't plan on getting into cloning just yet. Still trying to keep my oldest from taking over my little tent with her outdoor garden stuff.lol
I'm not cloning the dds I don't have the setup for it yet. I'm just reflowering it to get some bud to hold the wife over.
She's epileptic and bipolar.
The pills they put her on 3 years ago SSRIs screwed her up more forced us to put her in a hospital because she lost her mind then I fought for a year with doctors to get her off the meds and finally after a year of weaning her off 7 different scripts she's on 2 mild scripts now and back to herself.
But she gets crazy all over again if she doesn't smoke weed.
It helps her so much more then any script ever did.
It's hard with 3 kids to keep up but somehow I do it.
Sorry got off track there.
Anyways heres a group shot from today of the sd and goji og cross.

Normally I would transplant into a 1-3 gallon pot then to either a 5 or 7 gallon fabric pot.
This time I'm going to try something different and go straight to the 7 gallon fabric pots.
I'm hoping there's no I'll effects from doing so.
I've heard it's better to up-pot and get good root balls going but, I've seen first hand that once they get t ok a certain point growth slows until transplant.
So I'm thinking if I jump straight to a 7 gal. I won't have any slow growth periods.
Anyone have experience and had crappy results doing this please chime in before I do it.
Maybe I'll change my mind.
I plan on doing it tomorrow morning.

I've not run into issues doing it either way, as long as transplants are done after a good ball is formed, and before becoming rootbound.
Though yes as you stated when the root ball fills the pot the growth does slow a bit from being rootbound as mentioned above.
Alot of times though I let it go long periods like that in small pots for the growth limiting factor.
Then when finally up potted she'll just go crazy. Lol.

Goodmorning, I had a question about doing perpetual with my 1000w hps but I think I've answered my own question. Who knows though maybe there's a better way.
My worry was that if I was running perpetual that eventually some plants would be to far from the light.
I'm thinking to just use objects like books, totes and su h to raise up the lower plants.

You're correct with your own answer. Lol
That's what alot of us do, raising the little ones up for the light.
It's what I used to do in my flower as well, and still do for veg. I have enough lights in the flower room now that I have them set at various heights for diff sized plants. So I rarely need to do that anymore now, but sometimes. Lol

Trying coco for the first time with the goji og cross. It's not by choice. It's what I had on hand and figured I'd give it a shot.
I did run out and need to get more for the last 1.
20200315_202939.jpg
Rinsed the coco out quite a bit in the shower before transplant.
I bought a 4 x 4 scrog-pro net but I'm not sure how I'm going to implement it in a perpetual setup. Any thoughts?

Was going to run an old generic mh bulb but I swapped to the new eye hortilux just a few minutes ago.
I figured I'd get better growth with a new hps bulb over an old mh bulb. Am I wrong. If so please let me know
New bulb is a good idea. If your old bulb has say 6 months of pretty regular use, I'd guess its has likely lost 20% or more of its output of lumens vs its lumen output on day one.
