After watchin youuns sprout these I've come to the conclusion that I should've did the towel soak a bit longer.
I'm still learnin. Lol.

Mine needed a little loving too unfortunately. It happens sometimes. Def not your fault ?

I’ve come to find that if I want every seed to be above soil within a week I have to do the pre soak and paper towel/ coffee filter for a few days. I used to only do the 24hr soak and then paper towel for 24 and then plant but I’ve found that the longer I let them germ and really get a nice tail going then they do 100x better then if I’d just plant directly to a plug or 24+24 then plant.

With the extra time I doubt that my tails get just long enough that I can plant the seedling and the helmet be just at the crest of the medium and it takes right off toward the light. I’m also not digging around looking for the seeds that curled and went downward instead of up. When it’s right at the top of the medium then it grows toward the light right away and it makes for a super simple and very rewarding germination.

My personal preference is a cup or Glass of bottled water, changed each day to stay fresh, and once the Taproot starts going good, they go into a Root Riot moss block Taproot aiming down. As long as the water is changed daily it works well for me
