Down time
Floor plan of the greenhouse addition of 7.5 x 7.5', 1" = 1'. After half dozen drawings I'm finally happy with the results. The barrels will still have to be outside but I can add a 5.5 x 3.5 1/2" PVC frame with a 4 x 6' tarp to cover them keeping them cooler in the summer and keep the rain out.
The 2 shower pans end to end are 8' so I will have to overlap them about 8" but loving the idea of a 3 x 7+ foot tray.
I'll probably incorporate the laundry tray with the cloner after expanding the top to the size of that tray, approx 30 x 30" and lower it about a foot to a 3' height matching the 2 shower pans giving me about 6 sq ft of heated 100% humidity seed starter/cloner area and depending how I wrap the whole addition possibly a heater. This whole addition would make a perfect nursery and a lot better than my old small greenhouse that's served its purpose and time for me to incorporate the two.
There are several reasons I comprised on that size floor as I've got pallets 30" x 36" (quite a few) and six of them make a 6' x 7.5' floor. Coming 6' from the greenhouse the 2 shower pans, being 3' wide, will cover the 1.5' of bare floor along the south wall.
Another consideration is covering the top and sides with 8 x 8 gray or black tarps which are actually 7.5 x 7.5' and lighting this room from September to April for moms clones & seeds. I have plenty of opaque plastic to wrap it now and can add the tarps to conceal the light once it's set up.
I can always expand this and add another 5+ feet on the left side to incorporate the barrels but this should serve me well for many years to come and won't have to do much once finished.
So besides puffing giant joints this week and having to use a cane or walking stick to get around I got something done?
Decision time on some cuts
GDP #4 top clone. Finally rooted but losing a battle with fungus. Compost.
GDP #3 from early November group bitten off by rats.
Rooted and back in its pot but doing nothing. I'm pretty sure it's a boy and #1 & 2 and maybe 2 more from that group are as well, so? Compost.
These 3 GHammers
are about the same as the other 2 with little if any growth and fungus issues while these 2
have earned bigger shoes. I've already culled several cuts before hitting solo's due to the same reasons so these 3 are compost.
As most of us know some strains or even individual plants don't clone well and with the weather we've had the past couple months it's a wonder I've had as many successful clones as I've had and almost all have rooted.
11 of 12 Cherry Wine hemp
Top left. Top right is that last one of 13, one died in a peat jiffy starter, dried up even in these conditions but I do have to open it on sunny days or the little ones will fry.
Bottom right are 3 BBHP cuts and soon I hope lettuce sprouts and left is a GDP from the 12/08 pop group that was bit off by a ?. Really don't need it so it's compost too.
Nice warm day at least
in the sm greenhouse.
Finally hobbled out and measured the swing set
A bit shorter then I thought.
A little clipping and a little bondage like a penguin
and they'll fit?
