Knocked all the GDP's down so I moved them back against the house

They get a lot of protection here from wind and rain. Had to cover the lettuce again

I was looking at posts from Oct/Nov/Dec last year with 90F+ temps. This winter sucks.

Grew potatoes last year and this year they came up on their own

GDP Preservation Grow update pt 1

Almost lost a month old seedling 20230113_062631.jpg
This is how I found it yesterday morning. Soaked it in 1/2 strength nute water and this morning dunked her in root hormones and rock wool

is now rooted well and I'll return to a 1/2 gal pot.

Tops of #'s 6, 7 & 8

Flipped this GDP
20230114_090456.jpg
a few weeks ago and she's a looker. Leaves are going purple more each day. She's the only GDP I've got flowering inside.

Gloom and rain for the next 4 days is about to start. I hate rain and gloom?

Great roots on your cuts! Thats crazy how purple those BBHP are. I've never seen it do that indoor or outdoor. If I didnt know any better I'd swear that was a GDP lol

Capt sent me a video about heating small areas with a small water container, an aquarium air pump and heater and raises temps a lot and is affordable. I think it's $10+/- per 100 watt heater and I've got 2. It really works well. I'm getting 90+% cuttings rooted in there using CloneX and rock wool. Too easy, even a plumber could do it?

A couple of the tops on mine were almost black. There's some beauty in those beans bro!
Wanna know what's crazy? These are cuts off the giant I grew in summer. Growing conditions and pheno expression are closely related, more then we know?

Killing it over here lately @PlumberSoCal dam , like seeing roots like that man ?
Thanks man but I'm pretty much just the care taker. But it is a bit difficult with this crap weather? they really need that sunshine for flower formation.

Yesterday morning
20230117_072438.jpg
It brought with it thoughts of expanding my large greenhouse. There's about 9' between the back
20230118_085701.jpg
and the chicken coop. I've got 3 bathtubs I eventually want to place along the side but I've got plenty of room to expand. Move the crap out of the way and trim that tree. I can move the sink
20230118_090001.jpg
and cut a doorway 3' x 6.5' and place the sink, 2 barrels, my seed starter/cloner and my 2 shower pans from the sm greenhouse and tear down it down. I wouldn't need it and could even add lighting to the expansion.

I've been working on designs most of yesterday and believe a simple 3/4" PVC frame would work well.

Currently I need the assistance of a cane to get around so this isn't something I plan to tackle today.

Today
20230118_084947.jpg
Gee, I wonder why my back hurts so much today? and why my finger tips keep going numb?

My plants are not liking this weather either. 3 GHammers had to be pulled way early
20230117_085746.jpg
due to bud rot and not worth saving☹️

All 4 stand Girls are also showing signs
20230117_091006.jpg
BBHP. They all have a few and I'm picking and cleaning. Sprayed heavy with neem oil yesterday They're still 4+ weeks away from finishing but if it continues I'll have to pull them as well?

The joys of outdoor winter grows?

Just keeps killing it. I'm also giving the clones larger pots. Instead of 1/2 gals I've got some 1 1/2 gals
20230117_092634.jpg
There's 6 in solos and 2 in the larger pots lovin life. Those 2 will be flipped the end of the month and I'll up pot the next largest 2 and top them so I can flip at least 2 every month.

GDP's are all doing well. I'll try to update later with a couple ideas on where to hold their orgy?

I was determined to get a photo for the monthly contest and took 5 picks. These 2

I kinda like. Usually it takes me several hundred and then I'm choosing the clearest. @HydroRed
Gonna keep this one. Beast in the fall, bush in the winter. Blueberry all year long and I ❤️ Blueberries?. Can't wait to see what I get crossed with the GDP.

GDP
20230120_171744.jpg
20230120_171727.jpg
Very happy with these groups. Plenty of boys and girls from the looks of things. Thinking of moving the suspected boys out of the greenhouse for a few days of 10:20 light. That'll get 'em showing.

The nicest girl
20230119_152831.jpg
20230120_171727.jpg
#5, in front of the pipe. She's going to be cloned for a long time and make mucho seeds soon. Best male is to her right, topped once already.

I've got 6 plants (legal limit) visible and don't want to push my luck so looking at the underside of the swing set lettuce greenhouse
20230117_165854.jpg
20230117_165916.jpg
Plenty of room. I'll lay down cardboard to suppress the weeds and add a few handfuls of snail bait and boom, orgy room. I'll have to top all the boys and girls but there's about 3.5' of head space. It sure seems like it will work and may become my breeding area for now. It will look a lot different when the cardboard is down. Watering will be interesting. Flip is in 10 days?

Down time
20230121_104308.jpg
Floor plan of the greenhouse addition of 7.5 x 7.5', 1" = 1'. After half dozen drawings I'm finally happy with the results. The barrels will still have to be outside but I can add a 5.5 x 3.5 1/2" PVC frame with a 4 x 6' tarp to cover them keeping them cooler in the summer and keep the rain out.

The 2 shower pans end to end are 8' so I will have to overlap them about 8" but loving the idea of a 3 x 7+ foot tray.

I'll probably incorporate the laundry tray with the cloner after expanding the top to the size of that tray, approx 30 x 30" and lower it about a foot to a 3' height matching the 2 shower pans giving me about 6 sq ft of heated 100% humidity seed starter/cloner area and depending how I wrap the whole addition possibly a heater. This whole addition would make a perfect nursery and a lot better than my old small greenhouse that's served its purpose and time for me to incorporate the two.

There are several reasons I comprised on that size floor as I've got pallets 30" x 36" (quite a few) and six of them make a 6' x 7.5' floor. Coming 6' from the greenhouse the 2 shower pans, being 3' wide, will cover the 1.5' of bare floor along the south wall.

Another consideration is covering the top and sides with 8 x 8 gray or black tarps which are actually 7.5 x 7.5' and lighting this room from September to April for moms clones & seeds. I have plenty of opaque plastic to wrap it now and can add the tarps to conceal the light once it's set up.

I can always expand this and add another 5+ feet on the left side to incorporate the barrels but this should serve me well for many years to come and won't have to do much once finished.

So besides puffing giant joints this week and having to use a cane or walking stick to get around I got something done?

Decision time on some cuts
20230121_101518.jpg
GDP #4 top clone. Finally rooted but losing a battle with fungus. Compost.

GDP #3 from early November group bitten off by rats.
20230121_101146.jpg
Rooted and back in its pot but doing nothing. I'm pretty sure it's a boy and #1 & 2 and maybe 2 more from that group are as well, so? Compost.

These 3 GHammers
20230121_101212.jpg
are about the same as the other 2 with little if any growth and fungus issues while these 2
20230121_101227.jpg
have earned bigger shoes. I've already culled several cuts before hitting solo's due to the same reasons so these 3 are compost.

As most of us know some strains or even individual plants don't clone well and with the weather we've had the past couple months it's a wonder I've had as many successful clones as I've had and almost all have rooted.

11 of 12 Cherry Wine hemp
20230121_101008.jpg
Top left. Top right is that last one of 13, one died in a peat jiffy starter, dried up even in these conditions but I do have to open it on sunny days or the little ones will fry.

Bottom right are 3 BBHP cuts and soon I hope lettuce sprouts and left is a GDP from the 12/08 pop group that was bit off by a ?. Really don't need it so it's compost too.

Nice warm day at least 20230121_122527.jpg
in the sm greenhouse.

Finally hobbled out and measured the swing set
20230121_123646.jpg
A bit shorter then I thought.
20230121_123855.jpg
A little clipping and a little bondage like a penguin

and they'll fit?

T minus 10 days to flip?

Thanks man? Looks like after a whole year of pretty much seedless runs I'm going to do little but make seeds this year but then I'll be set next year to do some real searching, especially that Sarsparilla. I may not keep any virgins this first run and make a ton of seeds. There's a picticular pheno I want and now that I have the genetics it's just a matter of time and popping enough beans to find it. Going to be worth the work and the wait?

GDP Preservation Run - Flip Day

I originally built this box
20230125_154837.jpg
to grow strawberries. I've got males #1 & 7 with 3 GDP clones that were flipped a few weeks ago and a Mother's Milk flipped at the same time. I'll rotate females through here for the next several weeks.

I've also got a group in solos
20230125_172539.jpg
Just off the patio where they blend into the overgrowth. Same #'s 1 & 7 male clones with 6 GDP and 2 Gorilla Hammer clones. I'll be rotating a few in and out of this group as well. Pollen should start dropping shortly?

GDP, Mother's Milk and BBHP. The GDP will find a spot at the orgy, the other two gonna be moms for a while. I really like those two, creamy and Blueberry.

Otherwise the solo cup group is doing great
