Ok so I just became aware you can purchase pollen online...Is there a criteria they follow when selecting males..Is there even a place with a very good / or any type of reputation for selling pollen??? Anyone ever considered purchasing pollen from a outside source?? Fuck...wish I didn't even stumble opon this but ....I did...and it's kind of making me wonder...I know it would be damn tough for me to just use dust from a plant ive never seen....any thoughts...or opinions???

Interesting, whenever I flower a male for pollen, I'm nervous as a whore in church! It might be nice to ante up for a few grams and leave the excess pollen out of the equation! I am curious to see what others have experienced.

Buy it right from the breeder if you do. Otherwise who knows how old it is. I purchased once at auction and once from the breeder and I had zero luck with the auction pollen. But I'll most likely never do it again.

I don't know that I ever will buy any...I can't see buying it off a random person...I'm crazy crazy picky about males and I VERY rarely find one to keep. They have to really stand out...I've never in my life seen pollen offered by any breeder...No clue that was even a option

Honestly I want this to be a realistic way to defeat my OCD and not have to worry about fuckin up my outdoor so I can experiment with some crosses of my own but that OCD also means I need to sniff the dude and see what he looks like before I trust the dust so to speak..... I can sprinkle it on lots of plants and be a cross dresser.... LOL sorry, kidding aside, Frimpong answered with what I consider a VERY valid concern and I'd honestly feel better if you guys did that instead.

People buy male pollen? I don't get it. Most any pack of regs is likely to give you all the pollen you'd ever need, sometimes when you don't want any. Reversed pollen .... now that might be worth looking into.

I'd go for it if it was a trusted person; it'd be easier for me than storing a Male or 5 trying to collect pollen without getting it on my clothes, or hair, and ruining my outdoor lol. Essentially someone like me who's OCD would totally go for it. Then again eventually I'm gonna have to find a straw so I can suck it up and actually collect some too play with, but it sure like it'd be easier in my situation anyway.

You don't need much space for pollen collection. If I find a male I like, he gets trimmed up and put into my 2x2x4 tent and he's in and done within 3 weeks. when he's ready, I just slide a plastic bag over him, tie off the bottom and chop. Now, I simply take it all outside, shake it up real good, slide that male out of the bag and carefully collect the pollen from the bag. Keep it dark and dry and breed away!!!

Now is a good time to look for males. If you light dep them outdoors, they will flower and you will get a look see. All you need is a barrel.

Picking one out of the blue ain't easy and being right is even harder without a look.

then you can collect pollen or kill them off as req. .......without pollinating the outdoor crop in the process

Are you kidding? That's exactly who I've been happy to be for ... ever, I'm pretty sure. I'm the guy that shakes my head at people that spend half a day on their home made spaghetti sauce [ Goodfellas ]. I've known them, and their sauce was often very good. But I wouldn't say that much better for what I can buy in a jar and heat in 5 minutes. [ Sometimes I may even add pre-chopped onions and peppers tho ]. Convenience rocks my world. Hold your head up high, and be that gigh.

I order from a couple of dudes I trust, but yeah I wouldn’t if I didn’t trust them, strainly.io has a few good dudes that sell good pollen but a lot of rifraff aswell so gotta becareful their too

I've snagged some pollen off Useful. It's nice when you've seen the results from the selected male a bunch and know what your getting. Takes a lot of time to do that yourself. Plus it's nice if your just plain not comfortable running males or just want to expedite the process and not deal with finding a male at all.

No collection needed..A very small tent will do for personal bean making and the second tent is what I use...with a junky blurple LED Just do everything on a smaller scale..time it out and place your male inside to do his thing...after that take the male out spray him down with water and wrap him up and trash em..My bud tent is in a separate room and I've not one time not had a issue. Just be very careful and let him drop all his pollen inside the tent..I usually give a light shake over the females after he starts dusting..And game over..clean the tent super good with bleach water when the females are done and it's good to go again

LOL thanks bro Now I will say that home made bread is beyond better than most of what is available in a store, but for sauces..... Yeah I know a lot of cooks and I myself have been one; Ketchup is used in more sauces than you'd think haha.

51 dollars isn't bad either.... Shit bro that may very well become my first introduction to finally crossing strains myself!..... You'll totally know if I'm able; I think we all know the headline about 50 new Cheeses coming out would be true LOL.

And I just bought the first tent just now.$27 bucks why the hell not..and I can stack it on top the 36 In high one..My wife will love another tent...ummm No? @Psychobilly

Now see the Wife is pretty on board with this and even asked me about joining here so she could ask questions about storing pollen properly so it's still useful if I want to crack some open again. She's informed me that if Gelato #33 is a male, we're NOT throwing it out LOL. she says we're gonna sprinkle dust on Skywalker as those two strains are her main go to strains for medical reasons and she figures the two most medically useful strains crossed may help a lot.

Personally I'm OK with a tent for a Male.... I do have my concerns of course, but if I end up with a Fiona's Chem Cake Male, or a Black Lime Special Reserve male.....Or literally ANY Cheese male.... Oh yeah you best believe it's gonna be dusty around here LOL. I can't toss those genetics..... I had to have the Wife toss the first Male Blue Cheese from last year....Couldn't do it.
