One would assume if you were buying seeds from someone they could and should be able to provide a lineage of their seeds. If I was slinging I'd provide who's seeds the parents came for. Transparency is the name of the game. Now I see plenty of fellas here slinging beans they made and all do the right thing, because that old transparency is key and with transparency comes another couple of great words...trust and respect. The two hardest to earn on this planet and the two quickest to lose and you can never earn back.

I saw a fella slinging some beans on ig and I asked what's bacon?
A family secret, we only tell what the father is not the mum.
I don't know about you but that screams alarm bells for a prospective buyer.

phenohunter breeders and pollen checkers keep being you and keep an eye out for shenanigans. Purchasing beans I'll only go through guys here because they're honest and do great work. Little rant over.

Anybody can claim any seed is anything they want, so for me it's all about trusting the source.

Jordan of the Islands is a well-known producer that I stopped dealing with in part because they won't answer questions about their genetics.

Lot of them now. My big thing is pictures. If you don't have pictures then I don't want to be the goddamn tester for these. And if you don't even have pictures of the parents well then you can just f*** off. Lol Very common nowadays though unfortunately. Pics Or it didn't happen ?

Going a step further if you claim grown organically or under the sun in xyz location. Documentation is part of the intellectual property. Can't just huck some pollen at a cut, neglect it and expect something miraculous.
