i hear this is the place to be. came to check it out and i like the energy so i figured i'd make a profile and journal over here. some may recognize my name/avatar from other forums.

Some background on the grow: Currently I'm running a perpetual in a spare bedroom, with a 4'x4' tent for flower (DIY LED) and a 4'x2' for veg (200w 4' x 4 tube 6400k T5HO). I will post updates (mostly pictures) every few days with my thoughts on how things are going. I've been growing for a few years now but consider myself still a novice so feel free to post in my journal any advice or anything you want really.

I prefer to use Pro-Mix HP-M (or Sunshine Mix #4+Mycorrhiza which is what I am currently using) DTW with H&G Aqua Flakes nutrients. I skip most of the line, only using A + B and Bud-XL. I start cuts in rock-wool 1.5", transplant to 1 gallon nursery pots, and then 3 gallon fabric pots. Right now I'm only running Original Glue (GG4), GG Strains verified cut. But will hopefully be receiving some Purple Cake fem seeds soon and start doing a bit more of what this forum is named after!

The main lamp is 6 HLG QB96 on an HLG-600h-54b which usually stays dimmed to about 500w at the wall. That lamp is supplemented with two Arcadia 12% UVB 39w T5HO reptile bulbs, ran 4 hours mid day starting when flowers have formed.

Thank you! Yessir. ? haha it's a nickname i picked up from one of my many Spanish speaking friends.
I have several Spanish speaking friends too. I know more slang and bad words than anything lol, isn't that how it works out? I am thinking they are saying you reach out and got your hands in everything, a definite compliment. We have a lotta DIY folks here, myself included.

Ended up chopping tonight. Right around the 8 week mark I think. I’d love to go another week but I can’t risk running out of buds during COVID haha. Also I might have overdone it slightly on the UV this run. But they frosty for sure. Took a bunch of pictures before chop some came out alright, especially the lower buds always surprise me. Not gonna be a lot of larf. Loving the penetration of these 96s. Can’t wait for more info on the 96v3s. Gave the room a good clean too. Probably throw the new plants in and start them flowering in a few days!

Peppers and cannabis like the same environmental conditions. Yours looks super happy. Is it a full power or milder variety?

thank you! the pepper plant has been amazingly low maintenance and just produces spicy delicious peppers. actually it came from one of those packets of seeds my gf picked up at home depot. i believe it was just ferry morse organic jalepeno. I was growing a few other pepper types too but the tent was getting full so they all got moved to the patio but i allowed one plant to stay inside and she chose the jalapeno. it has kept our guac spicy through the quarantine!
