I have a dslr nikon 3200d that's been collecting dust for 5+yrs. My phone takes equivalent pics, minus the macro I can do on the 3200. Plus it's easier to carry phone vs a camera/case and lenses.

Currently my Samsung s22ultra takes some awesome pics. Make sure you go in the settings and set up the pro settings.
Yeah, i also have an s22. It took me a while to get a handle on the software but it takes a nice picture once you figure it out. The new RAW settings with Lightroom for Android is a pretty awesome.

But my fiancee is a professional photographer and I can still definitely see the difference between the phone and her cameras. She shoots all Fuji mirrorless now. Its kinda crazy how much the technology has advanced with the mirrorless stuff. She has a full frame Canon too for portraits but the Fujis are so compact and reasonably priced they just make sense for weddings and they are pretty incredible for video.

Shes giving me one of her older Fuji XT3s soon when she upgrades so Im looking forward to seeing what kind of bud pics I can get. Shes offered to let me use them but im scared to bring something she relies on for work into my grow room in my clumsy hands!

Yep, same phone same advice. I do like my camera for firing flashes though

I got my s22 ultra 2 weeks before I went on vacation in Florida last yr. My dumbest made the settings as best as possible. ALL of the pics are way too large to post on the net. I have some awesome pics! Not it's set to a more normal setting.
I love how you can shoot 8k on it and make files too large to upload anywhere.

Thats one of the things I like about the Expert RAW option, it saves both a RAW and PNG file, so you can edit in a giant RAW file and end up with a postable PNG (or jpeg)

I dont think theres a ton to "change", the pro mode just gives you more options to dial in each shot per its environment perfectly. So not like permanent changes but flexible ones.
Yeah, i just would hit the pro option and shoot as is. I just started messing with the speed and iso a little while back. Realized I could remove those light lines @DemonTrich was just mentioning

Anyone have any tips for resizing huge pics on the s22? My entire vacation is way to large of a file to email or post on forums.
I dont know if its the best way to do it but if you open a picture in Gallery, then go to edit, and click on the three dots in the lower right hand corner there is a Resize option. It does change the resolution.

What file type are the pictures by the way?

Yes site resizes to 1080p. Also scrubs all EXIF data so nothing is personally identifiable.

Yeeeeaaa buddy ? repping them autos from the auto master @Photon Pharms! Our brother is putting in work. I have some local buddies dropping some of his beans that he gifted me. So in between the photos and autos we’re gonna be able to help all kinda folks year round. So many veterans and mental illness folks that get put on the back burner or even worse. We’re here to help.
