My best friend gets his main line tomorrow for chemo treatments. Want to help, but not for sure how. Skin cancer on the tongue, so smoking is out. I’m going to list what I have in jars and hopefully someone will see something to help and also alternative way to use it. Sweet Dixie by Amos, crackhead by Hazeman ( green crack x headban bx ), c99 by brims, blueberries and oranges by useful, euphoria by Dutch passion, Oregon huckleberry, white widow and Alaskan purple by Seedsman, fisheye og by MMS, chem d x la pure kush by Hazeman. If anyone see’s anything to help with the load of crap symptoms he is about to go through, please chime in. THANKS ALL?

Sorry that I have no knowledge, but I wanted to wish him well anyway. Edibles perhaps would be better for him (tincture too)

A google search reveals this: (hope they help) (click on the link immediately below)

I’m on chemo now but I have Hodgkin lymph so I smoke. I try to use Sativa in day and when it gets later I want a strong indica to help me get a good night sleep. When I don’t smoke strong indica I find myself waking up with pain all during night. I don’t know what would be good if you can’t smoke. Would think edibles though but if I don’t smoke I would get nausea so I really don’t know

I found this link not sure it would be helpful but may be some information there. It goes over some of the main symtoms, and shows the strains that are known to be use. That may help you coorelate what strain may be best for what.

Here is a snapshot of part of the article:

Best Strains of Marijuana to Use for Chemotherapy Side Effects
Several strains of medical cannabis help with chemotherapy side effects. Each strain has its properties that help with chemo side effects. Some include:

  • Blue Dream (Sativa-Dominant Hybrid): An uplifting strain that eases anxiety, tension and stress.
  • Amnesia Haze (Sativa-Dominant Hybrid): Relieves fatigue, anxiety, headaches and depression. Perfect for daytime use.
  • Purple Trainwreck (Sativa-Dominant Hybrid): Known for its energetic and euphoric qualities, Purple Trainwreck relieves depression, anxiety, mood swings and headaches.
  • Jack Herer (Hybrid): A strain that’s both relaxing and activating at the same time. Tackles fatigue, stress, depression, pain and nausea.
  • Northern Lights (Indica): Northern lights is a highly effective medical strain that works well at treating pain, anxiety and insomnia. It also helps with lack of appetite.
  • Sour Diesel (Sativa-Dominant Hybrid): Relieves symptoms of headaches, depression, lack of appetite, anxiety, nausea, stress and pain.
  • Chemo (Indica): An ideal strain for when you’re suffering from depression, nausea, nightmares, insomnia and chemo-related chronic pain.
  • Green Candy (Hybrid): Increases focus and suppress anxiety. It has happy, calming and cerebral effects while combating pain, fatigue and depression chemo can cause.
  • Lemon Haze (Sativa): A sativa-rich strain that leaves you feeling happy and euphoric. Fights nausea, stress, pain, headaches, depression and fatigue.
  • Afghan Kush (Indica): Insomnia patients swear by this strain as a bedtime medication. Afghan Kush is also good for anxiety, stress, chronic pain and anorexia; all common side effects associated with chemotherapy.
  • Raspberry Cough (Sativa-Dominant Hybrid): Relieves symptoms of fatigue, stress, depression and pain.
Just remember, each strain comes with its unique distinct effect profile. What may work well for one particular side effect of chemotherapy might not be effective for another. Therefore, you may have to go through some trial and error before you find the best strain or strains that work for your chemo-related side effects.

Just helping find information to assist you man, I claim no knowledge in this subject, but I beleive in plant medicine.

Look into straight CBD oil and RSO. Worked well to ward off side effects of radiation and chemo for a friend. Also blue green algae Chlorella. Big believer in chlorella for this.
RSO is great for sure. Chlorella that had a lot of vitamins n minerals, and I think flushes toxins from the body

My gal goin through it now, breast not skin, I made her some ghee butter cookies, first time decarbin it, but she can only eat one and a half, I can do three, but it was made with a mix of lower buds, multiple plants. Most I see cooking use rso or coconut butter, I will find a good gummy recipe, I've seen a few around, but I went cheap and easy. I have found even the legit store bought stuff is never strong enough for me, jme. She does get a lil high, but more of a sleep/relaxing aid for her.

If you can make some rosin..Rosin edibles are the best imo. They are strong AF and have very little (if any) weed taste. I also found that even though I thought I was decarbing properly..I was not even close. I got an Ardent Nova decarbing unit (the original one and it's perfect every time. It is way over priced imo. but it works as advertised. I haven't made edibles with anything but rosin in months..

You can usually find coupons on Google for it.

Best wishes for your lady!!!!!!!!

My wife is a survivor. She wasnt willing to try any cannabis products, was before medical movement, but the chlorella had her sail through treatment. Dr's were astounded. Now to be fair they rolled their eyes at me when I told them it was due to chlorella but we both swear by its efficacy. I think it helps more in mitigating radiation damage than chemo but it was a savior for us/her. Nuts.com has it in bulk cheap. Its grown in steel tanks in a South Korean farm. Clean and pure. Have to know where it's sourced from. It also leaches toxins from the air so alot of Japanese chlorella is radioactive from fukishima. Nuts.com and Sun Chlorella are the best options.

Good thoughts and positive vibes to you and your friend. Your effort to help your buddy shows the kindness in heart that true friendships are made of.
I agree, there is no "one size fits all" variety or method. You try what you can and stick with what works best.

If you are interested in trying some high CBD, lower THC variety, shoot me a PM. I have a few beans of WestCreek CBD's Cherry Wine and Chardonnay that can be on its way by the weekend.

Great info everyone. Dont give up Baron and keep your friend's attitude as positive as possible. Positive thoughts and faith in recovery, may be as strong as any medicine in some cases.

A lot of folks here may not know but I have a niece that has had GBM (glioblastoma brain cancer) for 10 years. It is about the size of a candy bar over her left temple and is horribly entangled with her optic nerves.

Nearly everything that I grow either goes to her as flower or gets seeds stripped and made into RSO using Everclear which I have to smuggle back down from Oregon.

I gave cannabutter to my next-door neighbor who had the exact same kind of surgery for tongue cancer. Everything tastes the same, no appetite, wouldn't eat. My suggestion is to make cannabutter or canna-coconut oil and have them find a dose that works for them. Not only do many strains differ, but different phenotypes of the same strains differ.

Good luck and ask questions!

I have about half these strains in veg, I can stress herm just about anything to get seeds if needed (I usually just clone stuff) but I guarantee nothing lol because I'm not a breeder. If you're close enough to stl area then seeds arent even an issue, I share for free to people that need it

Stay with him through it and stay positive. Your being there with him is more important than anything else any of us has mentioned. Just be there and treat him as normal as you can. My wife HATED the "poor you" look she got from everyone. Dont ignore the elephant, its serious,, but bust his balls still and have normal conversations. Dont let things change too much. Treat him like he is still him and not a cancer patient all the time. It's a fine line though always understand you can't understand what he's going through. Different for everyone. Read the room. Peace brother.
