Hi Everyone,

My name is BioBuds, I´m a thirty years grower and smoker. I used to grow (and smoke) outdoors, but recently transitioned to indoor.
This wasn't a clean switch by any measure, first, my wife needed some persuasion, to let the hobby inside the house.

A Cheese descendant in my garden last summer, until end of August, when summer ended with a crash....

Recent climatic gardening disasters -and the fact my wife noticed I REALLY needed a hobby in the lockdowns-, made her budge a bit and allowed me a micro tent setup and limit off 300 watts and 3/5 plants. I find it a great middle-ground, we stay within the limits of the laws here and I get to grow my girls.

My 4.5 x 2.5 x 6 ft grow space, featuring Rubol quantum boards at this point. 300 watts.
Second, I really miss my garden now I'm more in the attic, as we like to permaculture as well.

Our small garden with 80 kinds of medicinal herbs, and fruit trees.

As I said I have a partner, Sunshine and I am a father of two kids, a dog and a cat, which we will see in the journals I'm afraid as the cat turns out to be my nemesis in growing.
He is a great reminder to never let my tent open.... the second I do, he will 'graze' on anything he encounters.

Flappy (Destroyer of Seedlings / Chewer of Leaves) and Sweety (oblivious to most things)

Furthermore, I love to cook, make music, dabble in crypto's (go Shiba), be outside (although a bit less the last couple of years), and grow of course. My style is organically growing on super soil where I've been honing my own recipe and amendments for the last couple of grows, where I think I'm onto something. I share my recipe with anyone to elaborate and improve on.

It was born out of the wish to make Subcool's and Master Marks recipes, but no access to Ocean Forest or similar. So I went looking for ingredients available on this side of the pond.
For the future I would love to see our laws get freer, instead of less, so I can keep growing my medicine. I'm a medicinal smoker, use it to alleviate sensitivity to stimuli and stress, due to a hereditary ailment.

I would also love to create my own strains, which is the main reason to also become a member here. I'm loving your dedication, everybody sharing their knowledge and love to be a part of it.

Me in my natural habitat and my music studio, now grow report studio.
I'm also active on other platforms where I've won some prizes for my grows and journals, people keep throwing seeds and stuff at me, which must be a signal I am doing something right. Occasionally you will see a thank you or post dedicated to growers, companies, and breeders who helped me in some way or were so kind to send us gear to test. Otherwise Sunshine and I are unaffiliated, we do appreciate all of these gestures and they are very welcome as the recent crisis hit us hard!

Thank you for the already warm welcome in the picture of the month thread!
See you all on the boards, big hug! BioBuds & Sunshine

Welcome to PH!
It's a great bunch of folks in here, very welcoming and supportive.
I spent a year or more on another forum and it got to the point that it was just overran with BS that you had to wade through.
None of that here. I think you will really like it here.
Good luck transitioning over to indoor growing.
Cheers,
WillieP

Welcome to the crew @BioBuds, looking forward to seeing your grows.

Thank you @GthaEnigma feeling very welcome! I'm kicking off with my first inside grow with LED and super soil ever. It's my Gelato 33 from clones that were gifted a grower. It had some twists and turns but a great ending considering I had never grown indoors. I start posting that one tonight Thanks again.

Welcome to Phenohunters, its a great place and I look forward to reading your journal!
Thank you @OldG it is a great place! I'm taking my time the whole next week to read up on you all and post my 1st journal.

Welcome, I love this place. Lots of great people and knowledge here. Looks like you can add to that. Very neat work area you have there. I'm more of the can't see the top of the desk person. lol

Look forward to learning from you.
I'm starting to get why you love it so much @Brokehoe and that work area was like that on the first day, so I thought Id make a picture or no one would believe me... Im not that organized either as you will see in the coming posts. My 'keep it complicated' approach, with my 'all over the place' attention span, at least it makes for extra subquests and adventures or plot twists. But one day it looked like that yes ...

Thank you all again, it will take me some time to get to know you all, I'm starting by reading your diaries and intros and working my way back.
In the distant past, I remember coming here for info on growing but never thought I would have anything to show to actually get an account.

Now with more time on my hands, a grow room and some results to show for, I feel more 'equipped to actually bring something to the table of interest to also very experienced growers here. Mainly happy to find a community of like-minded people to share the attic adventures with.

Thank you @WillieP I'm experiencing a warm bath here, loving it! And yes the transitioning is still in action. Somehow it seems much less room for mistakes and cold soil, which one would say the opposite because of the controlled environment. But I'm loving my harvests not being taken by an autumn storm anymore... at least not any autumn storm.
Thanks again for your good wishes and warm welcome!!

Welcome home. Looking forward to seeing your work. You won't find a better place with better people than right here.
It does feel like home, thank you @jpockets420, and a bit overwhelmed with all the lovely welcomes here!

Welcome to the crew, great intro!
Thank you @chiefer888 , I always try to make my writings a little entertaining and real. The real emotions, whatever happens.

Welcome to Phenohunter! @BioBuds

? thank you @Bodean

Welcome home!

What kind of herbs and veg do ya have going? Just got a new crop of herbs in for companion planting to make more use of the tent.
Hi @JollyPete in the garden we grow all things northern hemisphere, but for the grows we have comfrey for my permaculture tea.
20211008_100550.jpg

But a small selection: lemon verbena, lemon balm, angelica root, valerian, poppy, Lactuca virosa, lavender, yarrow, etc etc...
Sunshine loves making tinctures and potions and does a bit of craft, I also do some shamanism.

Companions I used last time were red clover and had some yellow flowers that are good for the skin but can't remember the name. And the catnip, which helped with some gnat problem I think but mostly for the cat!

Thank you for the warm welcome!!

@Frimpong thank you!!
