I downloaded the app, no chrome used now. Notifications on the other hand. I had to silence that shit with a quickness ? ?
Although it’s not a native app, according to Deebs it’s really cool. It may even be better than what a native app (which the forum software doesn’t have) can offer. We haven’t figured out how to make it work w iOS (Apple iPhone, Mac) yet, hopefully it can work.

Still cool. I'm always telling people about Phenohunter. It's just so damned cool with awesome people that put out great content. Starting out how I did and migrating here makes me appreciate it so much more. Kudos ? to all you guys who continue to make this an enjoyable spot to hang and share. Your dedication and hardwork will always continue to push us further in our crafts. Screenshot_20221003-131035_One UI Home.jpg

Thanks for the kind words Bo. It is a labor of love. We have all built smth great from the ground up much like our beloved plants. I’m constantly amazed at what it’s become and is continuing to evolve in an awesome way. Good ppl like you all around make it the special place that it is.

Hmm your settings are set at receiving email notifications. Let’s see if you get one for this reply.
Nothing so far. It's happened once before where it took like a few hours for emails to show up, so I may have to wait until tomorrow when I'm at my mom's with a computer and can see about trying a different email address.

Found it.

Was talking to the Wife about it when she asked me a question I hadn't even thought of:

"Have you checked your spam folder ?"......

Sure enough fucking Gmail and it's ability to ignore the fact that it "watches" as I get these Emails from this site, open ALL of them, and then delete them when I'm done replying or reading or whatever, and somehow, after that behavior, it added ALL my pHenohunter Emails to my SPAM folder.....

I had to sit through and click on all of them and then that "not SPAM" button.... And of course open and click links in each one since the last time I simply deleted one I'd already seen it didn't notify me about updates to that thread.... Gmail.... You make me miss the days of Comcast allowing direct access to their Email servers so you could check your mail with whatever client you liked, and send them, without a valid domain name even....

So the problem was on my end for sure. It's fixed now.

Like Google is sitting there with their fucking Debian rip off OSs like "This fucker loves Cheese too much, let's hide his email....What can he do about it?"..... LOL :)

This is one of the reasons why I try to avoid using Google for most things. I don’t use their search engine other than to check for Google Analytics data for SEO/page ranking purposes, since the vast majority of ppl use Google search. Too many “sponsored (ad related)” results, about triple what other search engines have. You can find better, less “sheep inspired” content on other search engines. Gmail, I only use for the SEO related stuff but that’s seldomly used. Chrome w DuckDuckGo browser extension which blocks tracking for PC, (light use for when mobile won’t do) and Chromecast if I wanna cast a streaming video to the TV (very occasional). Other than that it’s DuckDuckGo browser/search, Protonmail, and Outlook/Live, all on mobile 90% of the time.

My favorite for email was back in the day when Comcast allowed direct access and I could use Mutt for my email client and postfix to send it but those days are gone sadly lol. I liked Mutt, I could check my email over SSH and all that lol.

Google started out very hacker friendly and then became this monster they are now. Very odd for me to watch I must say. I kinda miss Yahoo from back in like 2000 when they were using FreeBSD and had good searching.
