Reversing AlienOG

Ya, they wrecked me pretty good last year. Killed and ruined a whole tent of crosses I was working on. Then took out a few plants or so from the following run. It took probly 8+ months or so to shake em. The russets actually came from the mother, err grandmother, of this here very cut... It's been nearly a year now since I originally received it.

So, being that it caused me so much grief, and costed me a essentially a whole lineup of crosses that I was looking forward to looking through and sharing. I was very determined to get her clean and do this reversal project. I didn't use sulfur, never have. But it took a lot of LC Plant Therapy, Castile soaps, DE, Neem seed meal, and insect frass to get the job done. Nearly lost her a couple times along the way, but finally managed to get her to where she is today...and now she gets hit with 2 spotted spider mites?

Hopefully I can get this bug ordeal ironed out soon so I don't have to worry about it anymore. Predator mites came in yesterday and were immediately applied. Hopefully they get to work quickly? Then, as soon as everything comes down, which should happen over the next couple of weeks or so, I'm gonna scrub and sanitize everything and I'm adding Grandevo and Venerate to the ipm per suggestion by @BH...I look forward to never seeing any of these bastards ever again!

... Sorry... Rant over?

Here's some mushrooms!

Gonna harvest these tonight. Neither my daughter, nor I, are big on actually eating mushrooms as of yet anyway... I mean we'll eat em if they already come on something like a combination pizza or something similar, but we don't ask for or order them personally. So, they will likely just get composted in my soil bin I have cooking. Also gonna try to redunk it to see if I can get another flush. Not gonna eat em but my plants sure will enjoy them! ?
I sprayed Lost coast and some other products for a couple of weeks and they just didn't get the job done. 3 applications of sulfur and they were gone for a fraction of the price. Lost coast takes forever to get rid of bugs and is pretty expensive, that's my rant over.

I'll concur with this judgement! And, I'm all ears, I just don't have experience or knowledge on sulfur. I'll admit outright, prior to this russet event I speak of, my biggest bug pressure was from pill bugs, as funny as it sounds!

My first signs of bugs, I tried a Dr.Zymes sample. Didn't do much really, and seemed like a waste. Then tried LC Plant Therapy, it worked better, and gave me some hope. I've been using and swearing by it the past year or so... But, maybe not so much anymore... It was expensive and didn't get the job done in the end on it's own, but the array I hit them with.

I'm switching up my approach... Looking for brighter days?

Big Congrats (y):)(y)
Thanks man! It feels pretty good to know my efforts didn't go to waste. I didn't get any spare pollen to hit anything else like I originally planned... The bug issue ruined those plans for me... but that's ok. I should still end up with a decent supply of S1s to check out. Plus, I still have backups so I can always reverse another for pollen in the future.

I'm right there with ya. I was so reluctant to do it, but I got a decent tax return this year so I had a lil extra to pony up and do it. I probly should have went big like you did with the larger quantity, but my cheap side took over. It should still last me a while though with how small scale I am. Ah well, at least I'll be able to see for myself what that stuff is capable of and judge from there whether or not I'll spring for the big ones.

Dude my wife called me at work to ask what the fuck I spent $318 on it was definitely a big expense but if it works that’s all that matters I guess, I could of damn near went hydro for that price lol

Great business plan, they know what they're doing. Imagine what it would cost to do a commercial garden. I'm only spraying sulfur this year.
Ya, it would be mad expensive for a commercial op. I like to keep things simple. Would you mind dropping some additional knowledge/experience on how to use and where to source? In addition, the Do's n dont's from your experiences? I've heard people talk about 'burning' sulfur but never really understood what that actually meant and never really bothered to ask.

Mostly, commercial (big scale) growers using sulfur, or do it seemed, so it never really occurred to me that I could use it too (it's kinda in the same realm as CO2, I hear it's very beneficial, but mostly for sealed and/or commercial rooms. I'm just a hobby/personal grower.. Why I was so hard pressed on going with the commercial type remedies.. But again, I'm all ears brotha?

I tried it last year for the first time after discovering a complete russet mite infestation at harvest. I mixed 1 ounce of sulfur dust per gallon and sprayed them after dark. every 3 days. I was told that spraying after dark is key. No rinsing in the morning except when they were getting a couple weeks into flower I would rinse them before sunrise. It works and won't break ur wallet. This bag was under $20 and will last 5 years. The plants actually seem to like it, or maybe it was just the effect of the mites being killed.

Try it on a male and see if there's any burning, shouldn't be. I know big organic farmers that use this stuff religiously and I'm glad I finally tried it. My plan is to do a preventative spray once per week during veg, there's no way mites can survive.

How does she smell? Greasy or sandy trichs?
Been trying to establish my take on it. It smells sweet n earthy upfront with a hint of herbal spice and a touch of not really burnt rubber or tennis ball, but something more in between if that makes sense. Smells promising to say the least.... Trich rub was very sticky, good mix of greasy vs sandy combined?

Oh ya, the cut I sprayed for a bumper/back up...

Still in a solo cup! Proud of myself on that note alone!! And, I know it looks like shit, but doesn't look too shabby either, considering the solo cup life in conjunction with being hit with bug pressure, but dropped pollen and caught it, beans are visibly a cooking... Success! ?

Oh ya, tent update... Not the prettiest of sights

Bug pressure + treatment + growing into the light, they look a bit rough, but purpose was served and additional beans will be had?

These plants haven't come down just yet, but I'm plucking mature looking pods with visible mature seeds off a couple in the closet.

Bean count on this reversal is already much better than my first reversal attempt... which was on the 10Fold by JinxproofGenetics (GG4 x 9lb Hammer). But that was only one female reversed to her very self... The very same reversed plant for reversed pollen held mature seeds on it's self.

This time I hit one target, then another... Then had multiple receiver cuts. I'll let these reversal plants ride out until I get everything else that's already taken down from the other tent cleaned/trimmed.

I'm gonna run this cut again next round along with GG4 and hopefully SourD (so graciously shared by my growmie @Idlewilder) in hopes that I get roots, which I haven't yet now after 3 weeks, but there's still hope?
