Rick Simpson oil. Much of my popcorn goes for this. I don't boil off my alcohol, I evaporate it. I pour the RSO alcohol into glass baking dishes. Once the Alcohol is evaporated, I scrape the residue with a single edge razor and store it in silicone. I will roll it out on a silicone mat and roll it by hand into a pencil shape that is slightly less than the size of my capsules. I cut the "pencil" into chunks the size of the capsules, fill them and I'm done.
This is what I use for chronic pain and insomnia.

I also dont boil the RSO to remove the alcohol. What I do is use a hot plate set on its lowest setting to speed up the evaporation process. Seems to work great and even if I do lose terpenes from the added heat who cares its RSO?

I expected more replies to this thread. I make edibles, oils, ice hash, and extracts, what does everybody do with their excess? I think RSO in tight silicone containers, might be the ideal emergency, survival kit? I look forward to a time where we could donate our excess to the VA, or cancer support organizations, Legally!

I've been using RSO in size 00 capsules. I made a batch and put them in a sealed bottle in the freezer, for whatever needs arise. Well, I cranked my back pretty bad last Monday, and I'll take a capsule when it gets really bad, and repeat every 2 or more hours as needed. It helps, but it blows my tolerance level quite fast. I also have been applying my CBD arthritis twice daily.
Too many compost bins to turn, and the last one got me. So, I guess I'll need to work with smaller volumes from here on. WTF, I used to be strong as hell! Planned obsolescence of the human body, Yikes!

I used to make weed oil for smoking in the way you describe. It was a great way to turn popcorn and shake into potent smoke. Probably even have some in a drawer somewhere. It's just so horribly sticky and messy though that I don't play with it now I always have flower. I guess your capsules solve that, once you've made the batch.


Man, do I hear the "used to be strong as hell" sentiment. I was a barrel chested beast with wrists of steel when I was pulling 36 and 48 inch pipe-wrenches, swinging 5 foot torque wrenches, and running 1-1/2" drive impact tools while climbing 1000+ feet of ladders in a shift. Now I've wrecked my wrists by still working them like they were 30 years old and my shoulders are screwed. As long as I can still hike to the fishing hole and cast a rod though, I'm still smiling.

Hope your back heals up quick. I've been fortunate enough to keep mine in decent shape, but have witnessed enough suffering to know how miserable it can be.

Never happen, imo. Too many rules about producing it, at least up here. The amount of money you'd have to spend to show it was produced safely and to required standards, to be able to give away your medicine, would make it not worthwhile.
Best plan is to just find people you can gift it to unofficially. Still helps people and eliminates the BS.

Yeah, been giving to those in need for quite some time. My issue is that We live in the middle of nowhere, I only befriend folks I can tolerate, and I'm more of an introvert I would guess. I do make pain creams and gummies for friends who don't partake in the herb. Most of the old timers I used to help have passed away, so I never cured anyone, but I did ease their suffering.

Yeah, been giving to those in need for quite some time. My issue is that We live in the middle of nowhere, I only befriend folks I can tolerate, and I'm more of an introvert I would guess. Good on ya. Not surprised(wasn't implying otherwise, just addressing the red-tape issue with being official ). I tend to give my kid extra to distribute among those in need, as I don't interact with many people either, especially since I moved to the sticks.

In a bit more parallel evolution, a guy I was helping manage his pain became a deadbeat dad and got himself removed from my good books(and those of pretty much everyone else he knows). What a world indeed. Pretty fucked when a guy can't even find someone to gift good weed to.

I'm still working my way up to the base dosage
for the last 2 months of a 3 month regimen, and this stuff
surely does not play. When I get built up, I'll be taking a
gram a day, in three doses. I've never been one to take
edibles or anything, really, that gives me a real body high,
so I am quite unused to this. I'm really grateful to have RSO,
though, and I'm sleeping and eating much better than I was before.
Gives me kind of a warm, glow-y feeling - and, even though I can
barely move or think, there's no pain or emotional distress at all.

I'm weak as a kitten - tried vacuuming the pool and crapped out halfway through.
They injected me with radioactive markers Friday, and I'm still spent.

I really like your idea about the caps, Roz. Be a lot easier than
monkeying around with these syringes! As a guy who needed RSO,
you dudes are princes for helping the needy - even if some of us are pricks!!

I would bet that you will be glad you took the RSO route! Avoid all the pharmaceuticals that you can, that's how I roll. I spread ground bud powder on a silicone mat and roll my RSO through it, making a round piece of tar, just under the diameter of my caps. I then cut into lengths 10% shorter than the closed cap. If you'll wear gloves, you can stay relatively clean.

I am starting a new batch of RSO soon, I've got a 2 quart mason jar soaking for a week. Today I decarbed another 2 quart jar full, just need to top it off and add alcohol.

Might be a stupid question, but isn't CBG a precursor to THC ? Honestly I may very well have read something wrong, but, in theory, wouldn't pulling a strain early have increased levels of it ?

Not gonna say you're wrong but icr cbg, cbn, cbd one is a precursor and I don't doubt if the plant is able to self regulate and control the direction of the reaction so to speak depending on which canabinoid the plant needs.

Just throwing it out there...I've ordered from zero point extractions multiple times for there CBD and CBG distillate..I've dabbed the CBG many times...It actually has a decent positive vibe towards asthma.. First dose was a bit much, had a bobble head dog. Tolerance is developing on about a 1/4 a grain of rice 2x day since the bobble head dose (0.1ml) on Monday. I've been taking about 1g a day, smoking much less lol.

Making another batch, this time decarbed in the ardent. Should have either done 2 batches or gone down from a quart jar to a pint. Next batch will be decarbed on A2. Using a plant he seemed to like this summer.


Got dusted with a little male (Pirate's Purple Plant) he kept eating too about 50 beans hmu if you wanna run them.

I made about 175 RSO style hash caps today. Been surfing the top edge of a buzz all day and into tonight, and I've only lit my pipe once! One good edible and it's sleepy time for Uncle Roz! I'm not a Vulcan, but I may still have Green blood!!!
