Seeds V. Clones

Easy enough,
Who here believes that seeds get bigger than clones when both are about the same size when placed outside. Or even inside. Ive had big clones , but also even bigger plants from seed.
What do,you think?
Really interesting question... I have no answer but I'm very interested in peoples answers because I've been reading a lot about "genetic drift" and "tired genetics" when it comes to cloning.... I wouldn't disregard the idea that a plant, fresh from seed would have more vigor in a natural environment

Outdoors...geeze that punch i grew hit 11 feet and that was a cut from one i ran for 6 months..

Where clones would crush a seed is....i know what the clone is. Lets say i get a fat juicy cola producer of a citrus milf....i take cuts at 8 weeks so those cuts are 6 weeks ahead of any seed (4 maybe?)....

I have vegged out a cut until its so big i had to bloom it and those clones are mental.

I provide more questions than answers....things that make me go....hmmmmm....where did i put that doob.

So for my current grow, there's one question I need answered. What would yield more flower for me in a 2'× 3' tent? Seeds or clones? If I over crowd my tent with 4 seeded plants, I get 4 oz. when they're done. If I do the same thing with like 6 or 8 clones starting at 12/12... who knows what will happen???

If you put a 2 ft clone and a 2ft seed start of the same strain next to each other, the seed plant will usully outperform the clone by close to 20-25 %. Tap root for the win
@GthaEnigma are there not some other factors involved between the two like disease protection and other related things. Seems like i have read somewhere about the the protection a seed plant has vs. a clone.

Seeds are better than clones....for resliiance...geeze they were produced to SUC SEEED !!!

Every clone i ran was smaller than the mom from seed...but it nailed what i was looking for so it won.

For outright performance and awesomeness i choose seeds...my cloner is now in a tote at the back of a shed !!!

IMO this question is more about plant management than clone vs. seed plant.

Clones are about uniformity and consistèncy. Big crops finish the same time, like the same nutes etc. You can grow more of the same flower. But on a plant to plant basis, seed plants outperform clones. It is all about uptake. A tent full of the same clones would prolly yeild best for a production run tho.

I do not grow outdoors unfortunately but if i did i would consider running seed crops . If nothing else the additional protection from diseases would be enough to sway me. I like working with clones indoors as they are a bit easier to manage vs. seed plant. With a clone plant i got a pretty good idea what i got and with a seed plant you never know for sure.

That tap root is a major water/nute uptake advantage.
I read that the taproot's main job is to provide stability, and that in all root systems it is the wee little filaments that do the actual uptake. Not arguing, just looking to learn.

Again, I'm no expert, but thought that the concept of "tired genetics" had been debunked. I'd like to educate myself, if you can share what you are reading.

Absolutely , and it's based on the root system . That's my theory anyways . Tap root vs skeletal roots . Seeds send that mofo straight down . The potential is staggering
