Enhanced Functionality
I don't know about you, but often times I want to know the thread title that I'm in without having to scroll all the way back to the top.
This scroll enhancement will show the thread title and a progress bar for the page. You can also close it with the X.

Enhanced Functionality
Many of us (myself included) like to communicate and express ourselves in more than just words. One of these ways is through animated GIFs (short little video clips which may be a meme or something related to the subject matter). When not used in excess, GIFs can add some value to a post and help a person express themselves when just words won't cut it.
Take a look at the toolbar above the message window:
There is a new icon - the "Giphy" logo. You can also click the drop down to find it there. Many of you have probably seen or used this site before. This plugin allows quick searches for GIFs and embeds them in your post just as fast. It also helps the site by not using up storage space and internal server bandwidth for GIFs.
Click on Prev/Next to scroll through the choices, then click on what you want to include in your post:
Note that after you pick your GIF, it will show the code. You can continue typing your message under this, or just post and it will post the GIF. You can also click on Preview to see how it looks.
Please try not to go overboard on GIF usage. I'm also looking in the mirror when I say that, because I like to use GIFs as well, and quite often. Like just about everything on pH, this can be moderated by the community. Please give us feedback about this feature - good, bad, or indifferent. It will be piloted for a while and if it seems to work well and add value, then we'll keep it activated.

New Forum Section

Anything and everything about one of the greatest privileges of life in the universe - Music. I'll be putting up some threads to spark some discussions.
This section has Questions and Answers functionality, including the colored prefixes.
Thanks to @Jewels for the inspiration, it lead me to dedicate a forum section, seeing how much music plays a vital role in just about all of our lives. One of the truly universal forms of communication and creative expression.

"Garden Infirmary" and "Product Questions and Advice" are both Questions Threads activated. All thread prefix tags will be available, including the "URGENT" red prefix tag, which you can use when you need quick answers.

We are piloting a new site theme - pH Evolution Dark. The site will default to this theme, but you can choose to use the following:

We've seen quite a few "+1" references in relation to REPUTATION points. We have procured and installed an add-on which allows this functionality. Courtesy of the staff at pH
Notice the 6.6K in reputation in the upper corner.
You can click on "Put reputation" and go from there. All "Like" functionality will still remain the same.
In an attempt to "level the playing field" and make it "fair" -
- The original founders of pH (The "Six Guns") will automatically receive 6000 points.
- Likes score above 5000 will receive 500 points.
- 2+ Badges will receive 100 points.
- 5+ Resources will receive 100 points.
- 10+ Q&A Up Votes will receive 100 points.
- 5+ Media Items will receive 100 points.
- The functionality should be limited to 1 point per rep. We can evaluate whether or not to increase this limit. Please let us know if you see the limit beyond 1 point at this time so we can troubleshoot.
Please bear with us as this is a manual process to evaluate and update each user accordingly. You may not see your reputation score updates reflected right away. If at least 2 weeks go by and you don't see your score reflected to what you think it should be, then please PM me or a moderator.

*Caveat - this is a one time sweep as of today. We believe all members have been updated. The system will not realize if you reach 1000 likes and issue rep points. If you happen to see that you are owed or should have more rep points than posted, please PM me or a Moderator. This also goes with if you receive other milestones, it is a manual process, so please advise the staff if you see a discrepancy in your rep points.
