what size of micron is used for kief to press into hash. maybe 160 then 220 micron also have heard that any micron greater than 90 micron is useless for hash pressing ? Thoughts

Are we talking temple balls or rosin? For rosin pressing 37 micron is my choice for pressing hash. 160 or 220 would be much larger mesh openings than 90.
Temple Ball - with 37 how many runs do you do ? for "balls" what do you think ( 90 - 16- 220 ) running each micron for different grades but need to do a big quanity in just one micron so I have enought o make a ball (Freachy (Hash Man) uses 160 and then 220 ) ?????

I usually only pull 2 bags, 45 micron and 160. I also use my 220 work bag. I make hash with a small hash washing machine. The 220 acts as a filter. I find a half pound of quality trim yields sufficiently to make several 2-3 g temple balls at the end.

I usually wash that 3 -5 times
Thanks going to use what you recommended , the 45 get s the trichomes "heads" (quality) and the 160 gets all the rest. you mean you do 3-5 runs on the 45 ( using the dry ice method) Thanks for all your info !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Peace

I make ice water hash. 5 gal washing machine. 1st wash 3 min and increase wash time by 3 min per wash. Usually 12 -15min on the last. I scope the material to see whats left and also judge by the amount of greenish tinge that won't rinse out.

use the 160 that;s it --------- this way you are getting all the trichome heads, and body of (for hash) now for extraction need a smaller micron if making oils, shatter, ect ( you will be just getting the heads with 45 micron bag your return will be small
