Skunk #1 - Authentic Genetics - Preservation

No, no, no....I'm not asking you to *do* a preservation run. I was letting you know that Skunky Dunk already did the preservation run for the community, and @Deebs could probably tell you where they are, in case you wanted to do your own hunt for your own Cheese.
You certainly don't have to keep any males if you don't want to, but, lets be honest...it may get tempting to chuck a little pollen heheh

Hehe, brooooooo, the thought of going in and doing a Chem and Cheese Bukake all over every strain I can get my hands on, has been a thought ;) I'd actually like to one day find some real UK Cheese, which I've never gotten to grow before but have enjoyed multiple times, and also some Chemdog which, again, I've never had a chance to grow that either.

Blue Cheese and UK Cheese being crossed with the Motor Breath I have.... I can imagine that being just amazing LOL.

True story; The other day I was grinding up some Motor Breath, and as I'm smelling it, I was like WTF??? I hand the tray over to the Wife and I'm like "Does this smell like Vicks and Vinegar to you?" and she smells it, starts laughing, and agrees.

Now, that plant came from seeds from two clones I had the previous season, which, I've got two teeny little buds left of that one in a Moonshine jar that used to wreak of Corn, but now it's more like sour gas LOL. But yeah a plant capable of smelling like Vicks and Vinegar would make one interesting cross LOL.

As of today like 2 of the GMO seedlings have started sprouting, and again, I'd love to blast a load of Cheese all over those too LOL. I'm OCD as fuck though so in my mind I need an offsite location to store male plants and a Hazmat suit to collect pollen, and so at least for right now, I can't do it. Though that thoughts cross my mind at how amazing some of the Phenotypes I've found running seeds would be crossed with my top favorites list.

Both think the foul smells are from the early crosses, like Afghan #1. You need that cross to bring it out. Really interesting.
I just said this on my post about manipulating Thiols. haha. I have a hypothesis that I'd love to test. So we know the acrid smell was bred out for more stealth. We know Mexican, Columbian and Afghan was used for the original skunk. What if the afghan was substituted with another less acrid Indica. If the Afghan #1 is the Purist indica we now have from AGseeds it might just be the key to getting the original cross back...I know it's Christmas and all but I dreaming of a Skunky 2023 Christmas.

Afghani is totally a good idea for looking for acrid smells, though it depends on which ones; I've got Heirloom Tashkurgan that smells like berries but I've also got Cheese that has a Skunky smell so there's really good options in that lineup. I saw in the other thread you've got the idea for setting up some with Sulfur and I hope it works out for you.
