Good article here for you.The last couple years I have had a little caterpillar damage to a few buds. I have actually seen the little green SOB munching away when I chop. What should I try? I was wondering about companion plants or maybe that spore stuff? What do you guys think?
PR won’t do much. Best thing is a spending a while with tweezers pulling the fuckers outThe last few days I found a couple of budworms, are they the same as caterpillars? They’ve munched/killed a few buds. After reading JL2G’s link and some other sites, I’m thinking BT or Spinosad or both. Sprayed the plant down w plant Therapy, could this be enough to get rid of em?
This time of year is primetime for those budworms. When you see the moth below, you'll recognize they've been flying all over your yard recently. The last few days I found a couple of budworms, are they the same as caterpillars? They sure look like catterpillars, lol. BT is what to use as a preventative. Started spraying last week in July here but am done with BT now......did the last round over a week ago. Look your buds over good for any more. The problem with those bastiges is when you see the damage, it's too late. The last few days I found a couple of budworms, are they the same as caterpillars? I'll spray neem oil in veg twice a month. Jack's and bt mixed will keep the bastards dying. I've seen them take every top on a plant in the past. I hate 'em and want dead, their families dead? This time of year is primetime for those budworms. When you see the moth below, you'll recognize they've been flying all over your yard recently.
I use the spinosad, and it works great. Sometimes if I'm feeling nervous and it's within a week or two of harvest, I'll drop it down to BT just to keep things a non toxic as possible.
What I use: Monterey LG6150 Garden Insect Spray, Insecticide & Pesticide with Spinosad
Our man @PlumberSoCal recently mentioned he gets good results from Captain Jack's Dead Bug Brew, Insecticide/Pesticide Concentrate

Oh man this sucks. I’ve only seen it on the mutant that I really like that is outdoors so far. There are others outdoors but they’re not doing as good as the mutant w forming buds so I haven’t seen it on them so far. Nothing in the greenhouse so far except the occasional grasshopper. They sure look like catterpillars, lol. BT is what to use as a preventative. Looks like Capt Jack’s has Spinosad in it. Is there anything in Jack’s that prevents it from being sprayed through harvest?I'll spray neem oil in veg twice a month. Yeah, once I flip no more neem. I use Jack's and Bt through flower. A quick early morning spray wash day of harvest, hang off patio in shade until dry and good to good. It breaks down quickly and if I've got the choice between smoking a little Spinosad or catipiler shit I'm taking the spinosad.Looks like Capt Jack’s has Spinosad in it. I don’t like the smell of neem oil it messes w my airways. I intend on washing whole branches in plain water after harvest, hopefully this should clean em well enough?
Here are a few. Last time they were brighter green, one of these is kinda brown:

Like this ?Cabbage moths can take a crop out in less than a week.. And no, they don’t stick to cabbage…lol
you see little white moths, get the eyes in focus!..they lay eggs all day long…if they land on your plant, it’s to lay an egg or 100..
No no ty I appreciate it. That's basically where I'm at blasting those things out of there with a hose or whatever there's probably. I don't know seven or eight big colas on one plant that has them so it shouldn't be too much work. I was just wondering what the hell that was . Never seen em . Thx again manThe brown and black stuff looks like burn from excrements, or something viral, that egg is a new one for me… maybe cut that part of the bud off, and check for the rest of them eggs… looks like something big for eggs that size.. Cabbage moths are smaller and their eggs are clear like a mite egg but a bit bigger. You can successfully hose them off, but you need pressure, and the buds would take the hit for that too…
Wish I could help more Bro, that’s a new one for me.
The rest of the plant looks way too healthy to be anything “infesting” to me, but logic says good food is good food too!..
Sorry man, wish I had a better answer.
Ill look for them kinds of eggs and see what I can find out for ya
I didn’t see any but I’ll check next time. Why oh why did they have to attack one of my favorite plants of the bunch??Sorry if you already said but are they leaving any brown or black little balls behind?I seem to be having an issue myself on one of my plants
