That was directed at the ? . I hope you scorch their asses with flaming shit. Fucking asshole bugs…eat the goddam leaves but stay out of the flowers
I feel your pain brother
Ahh ok lol. Typically the flaming shit is used for ass hat type posts cuz it’s negative points. Not that I care about points, just didn’t want to give the wrong idea then I may have to get rid of that reaction cuz then ppl would be slinging flaming piles of shit everywhere lmao ? ya man bugs are not new to me but having to deal w the different types w such frequency is. Spider mites are my number one enemy, next to whiteflies. These fuckers just moved up the list. And yes I’ve seen those moths pictured above more often lately. Good thing most of the plants are in the greenhouse which should hopefully minimize these types of pests. I have some Capt Jacks on the way, I think I’ll spray that mixed w Plant Therapy.

They are easy to deal with for me as I have around 50-75 tomato plants. I spray the BT for the hornworms and then hit the cannabis too. Hornworms usually show way before budworms,, but load the sprayer and hit everything.

BT does not kill......it just stops them from eating.

Up top middle. Looks like there's a little cluster. Probably 10 or 20 of those. I'm guessing they're eggs?
That is probably one worm and those black specks are worm shit. I don't know any way to deal with these bastards other then Bt and adding Jack's spinosad.

Cabbage moths are white and yellow around these parts and lay about 3-5 dozen eggs and then there's several different species of smaller moths whose larvae are just as bad.

Wouldn't a Mantis eat those?
I've never seen a mantis eat a moth or butterfly catipillar so I don't know but these little bastards work their way into a bud and eat the connecting stem so the bud rots. No way a predator would even see them in a bud. I know the signs real well. There was one on my big BBHP but it was the only one and when I pulled off the dead top there was the worm.

It only takes one moth laying eggs to affect every top on a plant. There are wasps that predate the worms but I can't produce enough to make a difference.

I won't allow those bastards to leave me with little smoke and then it being full of their shit. Jack's and Bt?

Definitely thinking that directed

I don't know about the mantis (and haven't given up on them), but G's jumping spider is a known predator.

"This species of spider is an eloquent hunter, utilizing the vision of its large eyes, leaping ability and robust body size to overpower many types of smaller invertebrates, including many that are considered to be either harmful or a nuisance. Prey items include flies, boll weevils, tobacco budworms, bollworms, and leafworms."

Btw, I was perusing the @TerpeneTom teepublic store, and thought of you

I just happened to get a pic of a moth larvae shortly after hatching

Right there in the middle I believe is a moth larvae. Pretty damn small and I didn't see it until after I studied the photo.

It's just one of many bugs that want a bite like aphids and spider mites. Normally a plants own resistance when healthy will keep most pests under control but not moth larvae. I believe the moths may even search out healthy plants. Either way I'm not spending 4 or 5 months producing fodder for moth larvae.

You guys reminded me of why I leave spiders alone when I see them on my plants. I get bit all the time and look like I had hot embers tip over by me sometimes but at least they seem to keep the damage to a minimum Thank God :)

We had a lot of Gypsy Moths last year that went after Bubblegum and Strawberry Diesel like it was a snack attack, but not a single one ever went on Blue Cheese LOL.

Got that Jacks and a new 1 gal sprayer tank cuz the old one just cracked. Is it ok to mix both Jacks and Plant Therapy in the same sprayer tank?
I add a spoonful of castile soap and small amount of essential oils to the spinosad when spraying. Doesn't seem to hinder effectiveness. Plant Therapy can't be too different.
I always spray as the sun is going down, just trying to avoid any possibility of burn.
