hi, i'm delta9nxs, the ppk guy.

i've been growing for 25 years and i am 71 years old.

i have a lifetime relationship with cannabis starting in the haight-ashbury district of san franscisco in 1965.

i was one of the runaways on the street sleeping in crash pads and selling weed and acid on the street for dealers to make a living.

i would go to the Fillmore grand ballroom and sell stuff to the people in line waiting to buy tickets.

saw a lot of shows, including hendrix, all the old blues greats, and the british bands like cream and all the local bay area bands.

concerts in the park!

had a great time, made a lot of love!

got really fucking high!

got busted in the city with 22 kg's of mexican brick and 2 of black afghani gold seal hash.

spent my 21st birthday in prison for it. been wearing the felon jacket ever since.

paid my dues to society as they say but the stigma and persecution never ends.

51 years since then of being harassed by the man for a little herbal medicine!

spent the early 70's in Miami and the keys, and the Caribbean as a commercial diver and was well involved in the cocaine industry at the time.

never got busted for it but did get shot up a couple of times over deals gone bad.

bullets hurt and so i went back to the higher ground.

have only rarely and for brief periods worked for others, i greatly prefer being in command of my own ship.

i'm always right, i'm always on time, and i don't have to take shit from anybody!

went to oregon in 2013 to hone my skillset in a legal, competitive, environment.

moved to nashville in 2019 to design, build, teach, and direct operations for a 10k sq ft cbd hemp flower facility owned by adult children of some very famous stars in the music industry.

now it's time for me to retire a little bit, slow things down, and take care of myself and my wife.

i had a liver transplant in 2009 and had been sick for a long time before that with hep c.

i coudn't get the quality i needed in the beginning days of my illness so i started growing my own.

just like everyone else, in a little closet with a single small security light. killing a lot of plants but learning all the time.

i've been all hydro the whole time. trying every type of system out there.

i realized they all had drawbacks and flaws that could be corrected and so began experimenting.

i've been experimenting ever since and all i do now is read research papers and experiment.

i am not a breeder, i am a grower. apex phenohunter always trying to improve.

i have reversed an entire 650 sq ft room with 96 plants in it using silver thiosulfate, removed the pollen from those plants and pollinated another strain making 100,000's of feminized seeds.

i have studied genetics and think i can breed some interesting stuff but it's still just pollen chucking compared to some of the great breeders we have today.

so i leave that to them.

but i do compete at growing!

later for now!

Yo, Delta.
Welcome.
What are you growing these days ?
hi jewels! well for the last 3 years my only thc production has been with a plant named carnage from dr greenthumb in ontario.

it is a cross between og kush and queso negro from jim ortega.

a very potent medical type plant i grew just for me and my wife. just to keep us in stash.

but not too exciting for sales. a rather low odor strain that i get coffee and chocolate and diesel aromas from. nothing pronounced. all very subtle.

it is not a huge yielder either.

but i am going back into personal production right now and i just popped 3 packs of ethos beans. i need some more current and attractive strains now.

i got candy store, orange kush cake, and planet of the grapes. ordered on a monday and got them the following monday.

29 of 30 germinated. they're about a week old right now and i'm nursing them along in a low humidity environment.

i'm in a run-down old rental right now while i'm building a house.

i grew about 65-70 different strains while i was in oregon. most of the best ones you can name.

i was growing for extraction. high grade shatter and pull snap. towards the end i was making terp sauce and diamonds.

i also have cuts of rare lemon head and mean mug that i need to grow out and test.

Come As You Are
Interesting timeline! I'm like the after-school, watered-down version of you. Born in 67, Did the Haight St bum scene in '86-'87 after a horribly failed attempt at being the next Flipper[but I did smoke weed with Helios Creed:stoned:]. I got busted with a joint in Laguna Nigel and did a week at 850 Bryant where I learned to play chess :D

Really looking forward to any knowledge and experience you bring!:punkrocker:

wow, thank you all for the kind welcomes!

yep, frisco was really cool with the haight st scene until about late '67-early '68 when meth hit the street.

so we had all these nice, trippy, loving type people that wouldn't hurt a fly mixed in with a bunch of mean, nasty sociopaths with guns.

the problem was you couldn't tell the difference up front because they tried to look and act like hippies until the guns came out.

the robberies and shootings started and all the good people left the street and moved to marin county and the eugene, oregon area or Humbolt.

by late '68 the street still had a lot of nice people but it was overrun with rip-off artists and scammers, mostly armed.

then heroin hit and things really went south!

by about 1970 when i had to leave to take my vacation in prison, every other person was a junkie.

850 bryant! ah, the good old days on the 7th floor! i spent 60 days there awaiting trial in a cell designed for 12 that had at least 30 in it. people sleeping on the floor on mattresses because there was no bunk space left.

had to fight daily just to eat my food because there was always some thug who wanted to take it from you.

i met sam and dave there! "Soul Man"! they were there for heroin possession but got let go one day with no charges. i guess they had some money.

corruption was rampant back then! while being booked into the jail i sat on a bench and watched four san franscisco uniformed officers take turns stealing stacks of 100's they found on this old Chinese man while they were booking him for heroin.

the old man was ancient and dressed in traditional chinese clothes. he had very long fingernails which meant he didn't do any physical labor. he was the boss!

they would take turns distracting him from one direction while one of the others would reach into the pile and take a stack.

it looked like 20-30 stacks and they got about 10 while i was watching.
