hi, i'm delta9nxs, the ppk guy.

i've been growing for 25 years and i am 71 years old.

i have a lifetime relationship with cannabis starting in the haight-ashbury district of san franscisco in 1965.

i was one of the runaways on the street sleeping in crash pads and selling weed and acid on the street for dealers to make a living.

i would go to the Fillmore grand ballroom and sell stuff to the people in line waiting to buy tickets.

saw a lot of shows, including hendrix, all the old blues greats, and the british bands like cream and all the local bay area bands.

concerts in the park!

had a great time, made a lot of love!

got really fucking high!

got busted in the city with 22 kg's of mexican brick and 2 of black afghani gold seal hash.

spent my 21st birthday in prison for it. been wearing the felon jacket ever since.

paid my dues to society as they say but the stigma and persecution never ends.

51 years since then of being harassed by the man for a little herbal medicine!

spent the early 70's in Miami and the keys, and the Caribbean as a commercial diver and was well involved in the cocaine industry at the time.

never got busted for it but did get shot up a couple of times over deals gone bad.

bullets hurt and so i went back to the higher ground.

have only rarely and for brief periods worked for others, i greatly prefer being in command of my own ship.

i'm always right, i'm always on time, and i don't have to take shit from anybody!

went to oregon in 2013 to hone my skillset in a legal, competitive, environment.

moved to nashville in 2019 to design, build, teach, and direct operations for a 10k sq ft cbd hemp flower facility owned by adult children of some very famous stars in the music industry.

now it's time for me to retire a little bit, slow things down, and take care of myself and my wife.

i had a liver transplant in 2009 and had been sick for a long time before that with hep c.

i coudn't get the quality i needed in the beginning days of my illness so i started growing my own.

just like everyone else, in a little closet with a single small security light. killing a lot of plants but learning all the time.

i've been all hydro the whole time. trying every type of system out there.

i realized they all had drawbacks and flaws that could be corrected and so began experimenting.

i've been experimenting ever since and all i do now is read research papers and experiment.

i am not a breeder, i am a grower. apex phenohunter always trying to improve.

i have reversed an entire 650 sq ft room with 96 plants in it using silver thiosulfate, removed the pollen from those plants and pollinated another strain making 100,000's of feminized seeds.

i have studied genetics and think i can breed some interesting stuff but it's still just pollen chucking compared to some of the great breeders we have today.

so i leave that to them.

but i do compete at growing!

later for now!
Respect and manners Delta9 & welcome! ?

@delta9nxs, would want to talk subject of infamous "Green Merchant" campaign in the 80s, and Jeffrey J. Edwards, who was a veteran of the hobby hydroponic industry, later the creator of hydroponicgardening.com, he passed away years ago. Know, there was his article on this subject, published in some issue of "Hydroponic Retailing"... or "Hydroponic Gardening"(?..) magazine in 2004. Tried to find some PDF copies of HR/HG of 2004 on the Web and was not succeed. Please, let me know, if there is a chance to look for it through'n'around networks of yours to find this wanted article on the subject. Can you help me obtain that?..

Exsitu - have you tried to contact Ed Rosenthal about this ? When I was in Cali in the late ‘80s (I think) he was marketing a simple hydro setup called Liz’s Garden, as well as his book I think. He may be able to help you. I remember Operation Green Merchant. I remember taking public transportation, instead of driving, to the Hydroponics shop in Marin County because rumor had it that the Man was staking out the hydro shops and taking down license plate numbers.

Before this thread, I've asked many about that and all I have had in passed years is even a little interest in this specific subject, there were no responses at all... ...nothing from some Big Names of cannabis scene... ...but didn't ask Ed yet. Where is it possible to get his actual email address, who knows, who can help of that?

thank you all for your welcome!

i vaguely remember reading about green merchant.

i spent most of the 80's in puerto rico diving.

i don't remember disco either. for the same reason.

but i do remember going into hydro stores in an illegal state parking around the corner and walking in feeling like i had a target on my back.

i love amazon!

Or try an email to info@edrosenthal.com
He is also on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
PS - If you mention you’ve worked with Bodhi , then you might get his attention.

Thank you, will try to write down to him. And I think... ...it would be better if others themselves would tell him, Ed, that Bodhi liked something from offerings and shared thoughts with others to use 'em, offerings, in their breeding projects. ...guess, you'll find this thought right.
