The Tantrum Turtle shit the bed in the finals and also got injured. I couldn't have enjoyed it more. :punkrocker:

Here's another favorite moment. Tkachuk had left his position to blind-side Kassian multiple times and Kas-squatch had enough.

Here he is being a baby after getting a taste of his own medicine. He had a huge locker-room hissy fit when his own team didn't back him because they were tired of his shit.

Enjoy your summer, Matthew. I hope that's the closest you ever get to the Cup, you weaselly bitch..

Stepson lives in Vegas - he's pretty jazzed about it all.
I watched the first period - that's about as hockey as I get.

The whole Vegas/hockey love affair has been pretty special.

They were an expansion team 6 years ago. In an Expansion Draft, each existing team can "protect" a certain number of players, leaving the rest available to be taken by the new team(each team loses 1 player in the Ex Draft). Who gets protected is based on a whole bunch of issues, and being unprotected is often no fault of the player, but it is still unpleasant to be unwanted.

Vegas the town, and the team, completely embraced the misfits and castoffs image and mindset. I think Los Vegans(?) often feel like 2nd class citizens in their own town due to the tourist focus, so it was a perfect fit. It was pretty great to see them get rewarded.

I think either Los Vegans (vaygans) or just Vegans is correct.
They sure do feel like that sometimes - $2500 to get in last night - mostly tourismos, I'm sure.

I don't even watch hockey, and I was getting sick of all the Tkachuk slurpage going on.
Very happy to see Miami lose 2 titles in 2 days!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

One of the Canadian sports guys wrote about his Uber to the arena last night. The driver was massively excited about the Knights and was booking off for the game. Like you say, the live tickets were ridiculous, but the driver was listing off all the "locals" viewing parties he had to choose from. Sounds like even that part of it had a bit of an underground/insiders feel to it.

I don't take part in those kind of activities anymore, but I can recall the excitement when I did. Sounds like it was just a great time for the whole city.

Me, neither. Can't be around all those people anymore - too much energy!
My old Navy bud just told me he went to a Dead and Co. show yesterday
and all I could muster up was a weak, "Sounds like fun!" But it didn't.
