I aint got the money to be renting heavy equipment tell you what I can do I can make beeping sounds with my mouth while I do all this shit by hand lol
How about a heavy duty weed eater? You could still make the noises but even you won't hear em?

Time for a small boat, an old used flat bottom 8 footer so you can get out there. Should be cheap$50-100 or maybe one that needs repaired for free - ? OR if not too deep, especially around the edges a pair of waders. What I wouldn't give to have that pond on my property...

I wouldn't clear cut, just an area or two or three where you can fish or keep a boat?

Fishing is easy, a store bought medium to small hook with Leader (sold in pks of 6), sm float/bobber, and small nightcrawlers or local soil worms. Tie the hook leader onto the end of your fishing pole line, attach the bobber about 18" from the hook and cast it out. If there are fish you will get a hit quick with no fishing pressure on the pond. Once you get to know what species are there (if the past plant was balanced they should all be thriving) then you can try all the different variations of fishing those species and before long you'll become an expert at fishing them in those conditions which will translate well to other bodies of water?

Every time I take my kids I make sure they catch fish. Worms and shiners off the top with a bobber for certain ?? I always tell them also Wait till the bobbers underwater and count to five at least, then set the hook. Man, they don't know how lucky they are. I fished my whole childhood with my father and we never caught Jack s*** lol.

Yes on the heavy duty weed eater and the beeping is more for the big boy feel lol. Thats some good advice on the fishing I am gonna hit it hard in the fall. Dont see myself going anywhere to fish really but I do see myself going down to the pond every evening even if I dont fish so stocking the pond is the end goal. Fingers crossed it just a diamond in the rough not to much clearing on the close side just some mowing. Also got my eyes out for a boat now.
