Sunraise QB2000???

So I’m switching from a 10x10 tent with a 1000 watt MH/HPS to a 3x3 and one, soon to be two, 4x4’s. I played with the 3x3 and a Mars Hydro TS1000 and am VERY happy with the results for only using 150 watts. Now the 4x4’s will be another inexpensive test of lights with 2 Sunraise QB-2000’s in each 4x4. I didn’t want to invest $1000’s in pro lighting until I learned how to operate cheaper ones (distances, power levels, etc.). These were both recommended by a fellow grower that I know has good results/yields. Any feed back you could give me on them would be greatly appreciated.

I have no experience with that light or brand, but did just look into it. Nice looking light for a decent price. However, with a draw of only 200w, I think it would work decent in a 4x4 for veg considering it's footprint, but honestly think you'll be disappointed if trying to flower with just that... I'm thinking at least 2 of those for flowering in a 4x4, but dimension wise these won't fit. I have Samsung boards. Ran 4 panels last run, equaling to 480-500w draw at the wall when turned full blast, which I try not to do... Only ran between 400-450. This run I'm adding another 240w panel in addition, for better coverage, and will likely run them between 600-680. I think this will be the sweet spot for my setup and style.

I've only been growing for around 9 years now, but I've tried various cheap (blurple) led lights my entire growing career, along with some cheaper cobs, until I finally got me some good quality Samsung boards. Kinda wish I wouldn't have pussy-footed around with the cheap stuff and went straight for the goods. I've got at least half a dozen+ cheaper lights (costing probly around $800-$1000, possibly more, over the years, with decent, but really, subpar results) that really have no use other than veg or side/supplemental lighting in flower at best.

Just my 2 pennies for whatever it's worth...

dude if it was me get a refurbished 500 eco or 550 or 600 or 650r cause those 3rd party qb aren’t worth it for if not close price . A 550 eco would be like 450 bucks with promo

Thanks for the input, I’ll let you know how it goes. I believe I can fix the space issue. Although it would fit with 2 inches to spare on each side. We’ll see...

things like that are in my future but those are also twice what I paid for 2 of the QB’s and as I stated I want to master LED’s before I invest 1200.00 on refurbed lights. Thank you and I’ve marked the URL for when I’m ready to move up. More than likely about a year from now.

So I just found these. One is 2 QB-2000’s in a 2x4 tent. They had the same idea I did of heat resistant tape to make it one unit and the second pic is 1 week before harvest. I can deal with those kind of yields. I’ll let you know how it goes. Babies go under them to flower Sunday. 206CB571-F5A7-4E7F-8821-1F40DA57DFF4.jpeg

Here’s a picture of the lights set up in the new 4x4. The fit (barely) and they do work. We’ll see how they do once I move the babies under them and flip them in about a week. The proof will be in the pudding.

Right on man! I must have read the dimensions incorrectly. They look good! Looking forward to the show. Hopefully they put out for ya?
I have about an inch to spare on either side. They also had a “lean” to them not matter how I adjusted things it wouldn't correct. So in the end I sat a pair of vice grips on a couple of the light boards and it’s weight evened everything out. I will say I LST’d hard core this morning and within 30 minutes under these lights they just stood right up. The right side looked like the left 30 minutes before. I had just placed the left two in the tent when this picture was taken. My plants and how they respond to things tell me everything I need to know. I honestly think these lights will work. But raising and lowering them is a oain in the.....

I can’t complain about these lights. I’m still learning power setting and distances with LED’s but my plants are telling me everything I need to know. Here they are a week later lollipop’d and defoliated again.
Right now I’m running them at 60% (of 400 watts) at 24 inches. Any stronger or closer and they get unhappy. I just snipped a few of the higher tops on Wed. So I’m giving them until next Wed. to recover then I’ll flip.

A bit late to the party, I apologize. But get a lux meter, I'll pull up the exact one if you'd like. It's pretty inexpensive, and with some easy math you can get pretty close on the intensity. It's worth it. Best "tip" I have. Other than that, play with them. They are all so different, and then factor in "your" setup, makes it a bit difficult to do much for help. Best of luck, hope it's going well my friend.
