I also decided to test the Mars Hydro SP3000 as I some very nice results with their TS1000’s in veg. Also wanted to check how it/they would perform compared to the gavita 1700e.

I’m running three SP3000’s dimmed at 75% on 5x5, and I have to say I’m pretty much impressed, especially for the price! First impression, these SP3000’s seem to get the flowers frostier than under the Gavita.

Except for the Banana Purple, almost 100% of the canopy is quite far from the led’s, at about 75-100cm, and the size of the buds is still pretty nice (especially the lowers). Was the first run with these Led’s so next ones I’ll start to play with canopy/led distance.

Apple Fritter; this clone comes from a friend of a friend, he got it from a trade when he was at some Spanish cup. Not sure if it’s legit, but man it’s pretty fast (end of week 7 on pics) and seems to yield quite well, despite the fact it almost doesn’t stretch at all when flowering.
@Kanzeon this one really makes me think about the Cerise from Exo; 90% same look, and the complex Terp profile with sour fruity notes, it’s pretty close too.

Banana Purple; this cut came from the same guy/place. Again I’m not sure if it’s legit, but I indeed detected some skunks banana peel notes at mid flowering. Anyway this one has crazy vigor, seems to yield quite well too.

Under the HPS there are some Tropinas (forgot the breeder sorry), LIT’s Ice Cream Sandwich, Mangata from Woodstock Farmacy, Orangeade from Symbiotics, Rubber Cement (have to double check
the breeder), Pellezino and Caramel Pinaz from TerpHogz. Will get back to them later.

Those clones that will move under the LED’s when I have some room for them; two Heat Wave, one Z3 and two Sugar Rosé.

The Z3 went down tonight, along with the two Tropiña’s (revegging). I tried to take some pics without the flash

Z3, just straight sour lemon cillit bang (I think it’s easy-off in the US) smell and taste, even the stem and leaves in veg reeks of that;

Tropiña #1; smell is at first quite discreet and subtwhen rubbing it smells like fresh and sweet clementines/mandarines, I’m pretty excited about this one;

With flash;

Tropiña #2; smells like a Tangie, fresh oranges. While I was trimming it there was some kind of exotic fruit notes mixing with the orange, at first it reminded me some kind of carambola ou maybe sour pineapple. Hard to put words on it already, i hope it will stay that way or evolve in that direction as I’ve never smelled something like this yet;

So as said really glad to have popped these, unfortunately I completely forgot the name of the breeder —‘ got them as freebies so of anyone knows who made that cross feel free to let me know thanks!

The Straciatella’s and the Banana Purple will be chopped down next week or so, still impressed how the Staciatella’s got frosty under the Mars Hydro’s.. It’s not really about the amount of trichs, but it really looks like there’s a layer

They look beautiful. The Straciatella is one of my favorites at my local dispensary. Great job!

Thanks everyone, much appreciated

@Dbear both Black Cherry Pheno’s I had with this BCP F5 were indeed really nice; the mix of cherry with puke/shit (almost diarrhea) as you said came out really strong, same for the taste, fat cola’s little bit sensitive to botrytis (mainly due their size). I wasn’t looking for this kind of Terp profile at the time, Only reason I haven’t kept one of them.

@jpockets420 Straciatella is also one of my favs at the moment; she really wears well her name, smell/taste are cocoa powder with a slight creamy background, heavy hitter too. As they are frostier than under the Gavita, I’m curious to see if the potency will increase as well.

Two other girls went down tonight; first one is the last Tropiña (which I thought was a Mangata..), second one is the only Mangata for this run.

Tropiña #3; smell is very very discreet, coffee background with the same carambola/sour pineapple notes than Tropiña #2.
7384C4C7-36C7-4065-85AB-A211763DBB39.jpeg

Mangata #1; now this is another story! It has a really strong cherry bubblegum/syrup smell, mixing with other fruit notes that makes me think about the elderflower candies from Ricola, or blackcurrent ones.

This Mangata is LA Affie x Sundae Brunch (Sundae Brunch is Sundae Driver x Mimosa) from Woodstock Farmacy; what I’ve previously grown from them was nice, but this is the second time I run one of their Sundae Brunch crosses (first was Barn Burner which is Dosidos x SB) and it seems to be really heavy on terps again! Still have two packs of Barn Burner and and pack of Birthday Cake x SB, I have high hopes for these!

Take care everyone!

Thanks @DesertedSky, you know it’s never too late!

Hi everyone, hope you all had a nice weekend, I’ve spent mine trimming the three Straciatella’s and the Banana Purple (the small Apple Fritter in the right corner will be chopped next week);
8E19852C-494B-4724-BE9C-4652E5FDE167.jpeg

Banana Purple; a real nice surprise! She has nice/great growth vigor, clones root pretty fast, stretches about x4 I’d say; when flipped she was about the same size than the Straciatella’s and ended being twice as big than the rest.. Yield seems to follow too.
Nose is fruity skunk, almost cheesy (same as the rotten fruit background I find with UK Cheese, not the Big Buddha cut), with sharp/citric banana candy notes, really loud. This kind of smell immediately makes me think about two strains that I’d love to cross her with; Sour Diesel and Chocolate Thai, Tangie sounds pretty tempting too!
I’m good to change the charcoal filter as i think she just killed it lol. It’s 6 months old, I usually change them every 10 months.
She also killed all of my pairs of scissors, sticky AF, had to clean the blades every 10 minutes.

Little less than half of the whole plant on the two pics, the trim tray (which I need to change I know lol) is about 70cm long;

Mangata from Woodstock Farmacy ready to be jarred. The cherry bubblegum/syrup smell transits very well to the taste; cherry/strawberry syrup with fresh creamy tones, more milky/yoghurt than baked pastries if that makes sens. Some exotic fruit notes are also noticeable, which makes the whole taste profile more complex; F69A8132-8081-430E-93E3-EA2179DA92FA.jpeg
