Tales of the Lost Beans....

Just wondering what genetics people had and maybe lost over the years? As far as myself here's a list of what I had at one point but now is gone.

I wanted to run Tikal so badly. The photos made it look like the colas were giant sasquatch arms. Oh well ?‍♂️.

I ran through a lot of TGA before ever making seeds - which ....what's the word .... sucks.

I had a single seed of Purple Chemdog, and lost it due to incompetence on my part I had it sprouted and everything but it was like two years ago before I had seed sprouting actually down, and even though I had lots of mystery seeds I could have experimented with instead, I wanted to grow it so bad I soaked it and planted it, but because I didn't know what I was doing, it ended up not making it.

A clone only pheno of Blue Cheese I've had and enjoyed MANY times..... She's gone too, but that was because I couldn't keep a plant going through the winter.

A single OG Kush Seed.... Incompetence on my part.

Yeah I've lost a few things that I'd have loved to keep.

My answer to this question is always the old Deadvet/Celtic Stone stuff I was growing fifteenish years ago. Celtic Stone, Celtic Berry, Big Stone. Loved that stuff. A dude on Instagram hit me up a while back because he came across some packs and had said if they germed he'd send me some, but nothing ever came of it. Worst part is, I had a bunch of beans left but they got lost in my last move about 5 years ago. Keep hoping they're just somewhere weird and will turn up but I'm pretty sure my girl accidentally threw them out

I had a pack of GGG grape stomper and i was so worried to germ them so i only did 2/12 and they were both males . Well forgot about the seeds and last year i tried the whole pack. Might as well?

Only 3 came up and all wilted or were mutants


After that i got pissed my whole stash was degradint so i started germ mass amounts of old packs, whatcha know they def showed signs of not being as vogorus and germ rate died even thou 24/7 fridge kept. Than i gave away all i coildnt use that were older , why not But man it sucks so many good packs i had dreams but not a current plan

My old roommate was actually just talking about the Deadvet stuff so between that and this thread I decided to reach out to the guy on IG again, and I think he's gonna send me some of the beans he has! He wasn't able to get them to germ and he knows what he's doing, so they may be toast, but I'm excited to have a crack at them again!

Back when I first started growing I had some seeds that I'd collected prior to actually growing. They were a collection of gifted beans, and some fire ass bagseed I'd saved over the years.
All unknown genetics and so on. Lol.
When I grew them out I was outdoors only, and knew very little about growing weed, but did well with most any plant I messed with.
Two of the plants I had were absolutely amazing with the taste and the high.

Named one of the "Shiloh Select" as my dog Shiloh loved weed and ate half of that plant out of all the others to choose from, so figured it had to be fire if she chose that single plant out of 32 choices. Lol. That one had a serious funk even in veg. Noticed that trait after the dog ate some off her. Lol

And it was so wonderful to smoke. She grew very sativa like and was so amazing, wish I could have kept her, or had seed from her.

Second keeper plant I name "Coughghanistan" as it grew just like the pics I'd seen of Afghan pot plants. Lol.

Very Christmas tree shaped, and pretty dang big, super stanky. Very indica in her growth pattern, and so yummy dank.
I did find one single seed on that one, so maybe not totally lost to me if it'll sprout. Lol.

Did you follow the dog around with a little baggie for 3 days?? I have put serious thought into once I can start to breed, to get some Chemdog and Maui Wowwie and call it Dog Shit, cause "It's got some Labrador in it".

I'm still searching for the Holy grail, and having a hell of a time trying! A friend gave me 20-30 bag seeds 40 years ago that was 'it'. It was a medium sativa of unknown origin that smelled of lemon peels and put a grin on my face shortly after the second hit! I called it 'Lemon Laugh' and grew her for about 3 years until I sold my first home and had to move. I wish I had the grow skills back then to make seeds, but sadly that came later. When I see old friends, they always bring up the Lemon of happiness!

Not sure if it still interests you, but you can get Tikal stateside these days. Multiverse has a limited selection of regs & fems.

My first order from JBC came with a freebie from Pistil Positive Creations that was great. Straight up blueberries in dog shit! After about 4 years, I let her go in a bid for more space. Fortunately, I crossed her to a short fat Indica, so that I can play with her in the future!

If I could have my mutant pheno of blueberry from Dutch passion from 2002 that would be "the one." My white whale.

Then I had a pure power plant pheno from nirvana I would love to have back as well. Densest buds I've ever seen period, a great uplifting sativa stone and stunk like green baby shit but had like a chronic and honeycomb cereal taste.
