Isn't Canada full legal now???
"Full legal" is a meaningless phrase really. Recreational cannabis consumption is legal everywhere in Canada, yes.
There are still rules re importation and distribution, growing, selling, transporting, etc.

The chance of anything happening with a few seeds is negligible, but I still get nervous, just like when I see a cop in my rear-view.

seeds are completely legal in Canada actually, they were even through prohibition
"completely legal" ?

You could buy seeds at head shops, but it was illegal to germinate them.

I have made purchases from Europe and received a notice saying they had been seized and destroyed by customs back around 2016.

Even now, given the one ounce possession limit for rec, seeds are to be considered 1 gram, so you can't carry more than 30 seeds without being over the limit without a prescription.

Again, the chances of any issues are negligible, but kinda like with a broken taillight, they may not bust you for it but if they bust you for something else, they'll add on any extra bullshit charges they can

The possession limits in the Cannabis Act are based on dried cannabis. Equivalents were developed for other cannabis products to identify what their possession limit would be.

One (1) gram of dried cannabis is equal to:

  • 5 grams of fresh cannabis
  • 15 grams of edible product
  • 70 grams of liquid product
  • 0.25 grams of concentrates (solid or liquid)
  • 1 cannabis plant seed

This means, for example, that an adult 18 years of age or older, can legally possess 150 grams of fresh cannabis.

When I got popped, they had to leave the seeds behind, as they were not popped yet. they took some but not all of my nutes, they took all kinds of shit actually, but they had to leave the light ( I was also growing vegetables too) and the seeds!.. That was before 2011

Seed Banks have been in operation in Canada since the 80’s..
I can still list off a few that are still in operation from back then!
And Mark Emery was extradited to the states for selling seeds To the States.. not the other way around..
As for them considering seeds to be weight, they count the dirt and any dead debris as weight as well, they try to make it out to be way more than it really is.. That’s always been the case.

Not sure how or why they were able to confiscate the seeds from you as they were and are legal!

My "figurines" have arrived! Woo hoo!!
Thanks, Eso. It's truly appreciated.
Thank U GIF by Jackie James

Only issue is now Customs think I'm a weenie that collects figurines.
Couldn't you have said it was something cool and macho? You know, like nunchuks, or a grappling hook, or anthrax?

Only thing I could think of that would be small. Should do fishing lures for future customs declarations.

“gift” or “sample” might work for sending up to Canada, but seeds are legal here…
(it was how body jewelry manufacturers would send samples back in the day, so there were no extra taxes or fees on “merch” at customs..)

But fishing lures are good too! Lol

He should come up with the most embarrassing things he can, kind of like if you ever had to write a cheque to a buddy back in the day and you would put "for sexual favours" on the memo line.

My Little Pony earrings
"boner pills"
fitting kit for fleshlight
Toronto Maple Leaf souvenirs

I mean he's giving away gear and paying for postage, he might as well have some fun.
