That clone, is too small.

I can't even get a regular size clone to root.... to say I'm envious is an understatement.
Ill tell you something about that.
I used to privately laugh at all the "clones rotting" posts as I hummed along without issue.
Then, came the cold streak. Lost dozens, on end.
Only recently, by using a 500ppm Maxibloom solution in my "Clone King" aero cloner, to keep the pH at 6.0, have I returned to 7 day rooters.
I used to just run my clean 120ppm, 7.8 pH tap water in bubblers.
Swore the pH was not a factor, but now I'm rolling in cuts, keeping it at 6.

I've also had excellent success (periodically) with plain coco as a rooting media.
I run in some really low RH in the winter months, so the aerocloner eliminated the need for domes, and replaced the temperamental homemade bubble cloners.

@Gentlemancorpse not sure if it's practical in your situation, but take a look into the air layering method.
It saved my bacon after my confidence had been crushed during the great clone genocide I eventually pulled away from.
Air layering, wet coco.

I'll definitely look into it. I also have really low ambient RH for about 4 months a year. I've tried so many methods now but I still just can't clone consistently. I've done the straight coco, a bubble cloner, now I'm trying root riots and a dome... just grabbed some rockwool cubes to try out... I'll try anything at this point lol

I thought we'd solved that problem long ago.

It worked great for a minute and then never again. Which is the story of every cloning method I try for some reason lol.

But your plastic cups method has still been the most successful method for me so far and by far. I've been thinking of circling back on it. I thought I'd be able to do the same thing but under the dome and maybe I will when it's not so dry here but right now it's just not staying humid enough. Might have to go see if my local McDonald's has brought the parfait back yet...

This is pretty well my second attempt at cloning . I purchased a dome as it seems more practical than sandwich bags and cups . I’ll use that ever familiar line : I’m no expert so I’ll see what happens . We still have reasonably warm conditions middle Autumn so I didn’t use a heat mat . I don't mean to rub salt in the wounds of those that struggle to clone, but it's almost a shock to me when clones don't root. I've kept Banana Punchsicle going for over 3 years. Here's a tiny cut that just poked a root in about 10 days.

These four recently graduated from the McDonald's isolation pods, and are destined to be mothers of the BX2s, after being cloned, of course.

I think I've moved on to blaming my ambient environment....

The Otis method is back in effect but I only had one cup so it's just one cut...

There's even a short one so I'm not straight up high jacking the thread...

Bunch in the dome in rockwool too... we'll get over this hill...

I feel like a lot of the cloning difficulty we read about, stems from (pun intended) folks just plain fuckin' with their cuts too much.
Having a mother that is vigorous, and "ripping" healthy is also a factor many hobby/personal level growers may be lacking.

Also, as mentioned above, the ambient environment plays a much larger factor than some are willing to accept.

Sure. I could look up ambient environment to find out whatthekkyallbetalkinbout. But after I employ the lid to the cup, isn't the clone in it's own high humidity environment? Or is that what you mean by 'ambient'? Sure...I could look it up I guess....
