So speaking of worse looking plants, remember those Solfire Bad N Boujee I was all excited for? Just riddled with botrytis.... both plants.

I chopped both whole plants. I just don't even have the patience at this point to see if any of it was salvageable.

Now I just have to hope it doesn't get anything else in there.

Damn, sorry to hear that man... We've all been there though. Sometimes the garden just feels like chores, especially when you have other stuff going on, and that's when this stuff tends to happen in my experience

But ya, the 3x3 is looking great and the recently flipped stuff looks good so I think I'm getting back on track

For those of you that use silica, what's your preferred application method? Foliar spray? Top dress? Water it in?

Want to add it to my regimen just trying to get a handle on how it works.

Im going on vacation in a couple weeks so I'm thinking about ordering some blumats finally as well. The daily watering is too much hassle anyways, any time I get busy and miss a day at least a couple girls get pissy.

I use Armor-Si and use 3ml per gallon up until I start water only the last week or two

So I started doing some more research on the blumats, and I realized if my plants drink an average of a gallon a day, and I have 24 plants on the system, and I'm leaving for 4 days.... then I would need almost 100 gallon reservoir ?

Guess I'm gonna need to find someone to water the plants

My Si usage is once at flip before the stretch and once again on 3rd week.
Just enough to prevent the use of stakes.
Too much Si can make your buds lumber.

what does that mean, “make your buds lumber”? i’ve been using it throughout veg & flower because it says you can and that it helps with stress resistance with cold or high heat and helps yield, but hmm

What i meant is if ya get carried away with usage it bulks up all growth.
In lighter usage if stiffens and strengthens stems and branches but too much and moves to the leaves and flowers also. This causes them to be thicker in vegitation, not more terps.
Results in a harsher smoke as well.
This is just from my experiance with Si.
It's awesome stuff and great for health of plants as well. And a necessary micro nutrient.

I found I used a lot less water with the blumats hooked up. You would want to get them hooked up and dialed in several days before leaving to monitor water usage and make sure everything is good to leave by itself.
Well then I have a whole bunch of questions for you lol

What size reservoir do you use? And how many plants do you water with it? And what size pots are they in?

I have someone lined up to water them but it's a lot at the moment with five tents going. Id like to simplify it for him as much as possible.

Well crap lol jk, it’s been atleast a year since hooking them up. I actually found smaller pots of coco 1.5 -2 gallons worked perfect for me. I still had 6 ft plants that grew quick. Anything more was a waste of coco. I had about 12 plants per reservoir and it was less than 25 gallons. It does take some dialing in. I can give more tips if you do pick them up. I would still be using them but damn fungus gnats in coco had me switch to clay pellets for awhile.
If it’s just 4 days and you have a reliable friend to check in with a bucket premixed by each tent I think he should manage ok imho. I don’t have anyone I could get to water mine, 3-4 day vacations seemed about the limit for my plants without blumats.

This is a Fudgicle seedling from Tiki that I thought the aphids killed. It was sitting on my porch waiting to hit the compost pile but it perked back up so I threw it in this pot of random dirt from some herb that didn't survive the winter... and now here we are! I may just leave it out here and see what happens.
