@SSGrower and @GthaEnigma Ive seen a few people mention the idea that an early flip increases the likelihood of intersex issues, but I've also seen a bunch of growers go 12/12 from seed without issues, while I'm over here vegging until I see sexual maturity and still getting a bunch of herms, so I'm not entirely sold on the idea yet. I'm still kind of in the camp that it's genetics more often than not. Some of my most stressed out runs have been herm free, while I've had perfectly dialed in runs end up seeded to shit.

Someday, when we establish the pHenohunter compound we'll have a lab dedicated to answering these questions lol

I mean, your not wrong lol, but the idea is to find a couple keepers I actually like, reveg them and then do a bigger run for yield or chuck with them. The problem with my frenetic dropping one or two from each pack that I've been doing is if I get a dud it's just a complete waste of a run. Like great, I got a quarter pound, but it's a quarter pound of mids I wasted 5 months growing. And let's be honest, I'm buying more seeds either way....

I've heard outdoors there's way fewer intersex issues and I'd love to know why. It's easy to say it's just because it's more natural, but knowing the actual mechanisms would help us mitigate the issue indoors

I'll add I think a "perfect" environment is not and ideal envirnment. The one little thing that goes slightly wrong is actually quote a shock imo.

Not to anthropomorphize too much but lets say you are active running around doin stuff and I flick you on the head - you barely notice it. You're sitting in a lazyboy happy as a clam in the sun and I do the same thing....

I have toyed with many a light schedule I think mimicing a short daylight change can be benificial over a straight12/12 cycle. Say 10/14-12/12 and back to 10/14 if you want. In all instances yield suffers vs. the industry standards ime. The only one I could make any argument for was when I speed days up by 20% a 20 hr day/night total vs. 24.

I have not but I've flipped at two weeks several times and actually been pretty happy with the results. And fully understand the delayed blooming part. I'm just trying to dig through a bunch of seeds fairly quickly to see their expressions with the intention of revegging anything I like. Not worried about yield at all right now. And from what I've seen from other growers, it seems like people are frequently able to get similar results going 12/12 from seed as I was getting with a two week veg.

I know there's some peeps here who only do 12/12 from seed but I can't remember who. @Senokai maybe?

Depending on the strain you can get huge yields from 12/12! I was able to get some 400 grams of Tangie x Sour Strawberries in 12/12.

I'm seeing a trend here, @THT is also in DWC. I don't have the desire to deal with all the pumps and such but I'm starting to wonder if hydro is the way to go for this endeavor for the more rapid growth. Maybe I'll run coco again for this. I think I'm switching back to Veg+Bloom anyways, I'm not really digging the Roots Uprising stuff.

Per tote, I only have 1 small water pump to keep the water flowing. I also use 2 air stones per tote. I use one 8 port air pump between two tents. Depending on the tote size I can run from 6-8 plants with no issues!

So some bad news. I think the Dream Beaver female is toast. I noticed her stall out a few days ago, today she just looks terrible. There's almost no healthy green on her leaves at all. On closer inspection, the medium is just crawling with thrip pupae and she's had no root growth whatsoever since I transplanted. I'm pretty bummed about it. I threw her outside to see if the fresh air perks her back up. Seemed to work for the Tiki Fudgicle that I keep forgetting is in my backyard lol. If she turns it around I'll bring her back in in quarantine and get back on the IPM, see if we can save her, but I'm skeptical at the moment.

The male is still going pretty good though so if nothing else, I'm gonna collect his pollen and hit the Hippy Slayer with it to make something of a Dirty Hippy BX type thing. Maybe throw it at some other random gals too if I'm feeling frisky.

Also, the Roots nutrients are officially out. Over half the plants in flower are showing deficiencies that definitely aren't just because of the stress.

Were going back to the Veg+Bloom. Got the Dirty for the dirt, and some Tap for the coco 12/12 girls. Also got Stax and Shine for both.

Oh yeah, I'm doing that. Dropped some beans last night for a trial run. Bunch of random freebies that I don't super care about. Try and get it dialed in before running the stuff I really wanna hunt. New journal incoming. Maybe tonight. Maybe tomorrow. See how I'm feeling.

You pop more seeds in a month than I do in a year lol I expect to be walking in 2 weeks then I can view in person how my 4x4 grow is going the wife says I've got all kinds of little cotton balls going on I'm guessing I'll harvest right before Thanksgiving
