I'd like to thank @HydroRed for continuously cranking out top tier gear... this Citrus MILF couldn't care less about all the BS going on. Bugs, heat, whatever, she hasn't missed a beat. Got some nice chunky colas and she smells like when I make my own buttermilk, little bit of lemon in there with that funky, sour dairy. 20210720_225416.jpg 20210720_225428.jpg

Also quite happy with this Brutal Thunder from Kinetic. Both females I grew out were identical and the males had the same structure as well, so kudos to Kinetic for the stability in the line. These are heavy on the lemon/lime rind smell. Little bitter, lotta Citrus, touch of pine needles. Little leafy but not too bad. First one is curing up as we speak. 20210720_225607.jpg 20210720_225616.jpg 20210720_225620.jpg

Nice work with her GC! When you see the double serrations on the CM, you can almost guarantee shes gonna be heavy w/ Mothers Milk.

Yea I'd like to grow me a couple MILF's, I've missed the drop a couple times.
I'm slow on that interweb ordering stuff.
Very nice!

Black Abyss came down tonight. A+ work from @Phylex. Obviously I still have to smoke test it but the terps are just insane. And its crazy sticky. Had to clean my trimmers twice just going through the one plant, they just kept gumming up. Didn't have my phone so no pics but I'll be sure to grab some of the finished product.

Meanwhile, I'm getting flooded with males right now. Just pulled one each of the Reverend, Black Cheese, Buttered Bananas, Space Jammies and the last Blue Ripper x Tomahawk and Durban Burmese unfortunately. Major bummer since I lost so many seedlings to the aphids. Several strains I didn't get even one female after everything.

The one male I'm happy about is the Dream Beaver... got one female too so that's pretty awesome! Going to collect the dust from that guy for some chucks down the road.

For those of you that use silica, what's your preferred application method? Foliar spray? Top dress? Water it in?

Want to add it to my regimen just trying to get a handle on how it works.

Im going on vacation in a couple weeks so I'm thinking about ordering some blumats finally as well. The daily watering is too much hassle anyways, any time I get busy and miss a day at least a couple girls get pissy.

I use both Power Si, and Power Si Bloom, and I really like it compared to some other silica ive used. I mix it into every watering, because it helps get my pH within target range, (and keep it there).

It was suggested to me by the guys at Athena AG, to start using it in a foliar spray, but im not sure if thats for me. I have humidity and BR issues already without spraying my plants down with more liquid lol.

Yeah, I'm always a little nervous about foliar sprays. My climate is so damn humid as it is!

Appreciate the suggestions, going to look into those. Definitely need to do something, I spend too much time staking and tying up plants right now.

I used to hold this same belief.
Consider this - You are building the plant to resist mold and bud rot. IPM sprays like regalia will have a cumulative effect on the plant too. Doing this in veg and early flower is the right time, you can stop when the environment gets too dificult to mange later in flower.

That's an interesting line of thought as well. Maybe I'll start by trying a foliar Epsom salt feeding in my next round. I'm going to try and start simple though. I wanna get things dialed back in after I clean house.

Getting closer every day. Bunch more girls should be entering the home stretch soon. Itching to drop the Bahlki for the preservation run sooner rather than later.

Which, the pests are why there's been a lack of updates. Kind of just have my head down finishing off these last dozen or so plants. Things are still pretty rough. One room is close to cleaned out though so once it is and everything is cleaned I can get the Bahlki going, which is really exciting. I basically just need to chop the MILF to have room and shes just about done.

On the upside, the stash is secure again with all these gals I've chopped recently and they're all really nice despite all the stress, so I'm pretty impressed with all the breeders who's work I've been growing.

Unfortunately I think I'm gonna pull the plug in the Black Apple. She's a heavy Vietnamese Black leaner and based off her development so far looks to be a good 14+ week finisher and that's not in the cards right now.

If your planning on using a standard silica product like armour so, rhino skin, ect, buy potassium silicate from build a soil instead. Thats all those are (well plus water of course). I'm don't know anything about the other silica products like silicic acid or anything so I can't help there.

As for using it, I make up a 7.8% concentrate solution according to the directions on build a soil, and add it to the res every other fill up at about 3mls per gallon until week 5 of flower where I cut it out. Sometimes I go a little heavier during stretch

I feel ya bro, my nemesis lately has been soil gnats.

For real, don't see any for weeks, then one randomly pops up and a couple days later there's like 20-30 buzzing around.
It's always a crap shoot for me, i add nematodes to every new round unfailing but ever once in a while one the lil biotch's get to goin and then its gnatrol and sticky strips for the duration.
Yup, I've been adding nematodes religiously and they always seem to work for a while, but then suddenly the tents will just be swarming with them again. Fortunately the thrips have receded and I'm barely seeing them now but the gnats have been horrendous.

They got so bad they killed one of the FVK seed mommas. I came home one night and it was just dead. I pulled it out of the pot and the soil was swarming. I was bummed, only a handful of seeds off that one were mature. Fortunately the other is going strong still.

I need a good soil drench to add to my IPM. I was looking for gnatrol but I can only find the 5 gallon pails and that's a bit excessive for me.
