New lighting format installed. Bloom room is full up but i will add 250 watts of board i have to put together to cover one other spot in there to ensure a very even spread of light.

HPS with 3k and 720 reds (the back 4 x 5 feet)
The rest is 720 watts of boards and fixtures and i will add the 250 watts to this and dial them down.

Total wattage running is about 1200 out of 2000 (Bloom).

CMH is back to the offical veg light and the tents are all lit up as well. This is going to be a rough power bill...3 months in a row at 500 plus each lol. That is a new PB for me.

I have to find a fitting now that you can hook the pvc pipe up to a threaded bit so i can hard plump the floraflex to the flood and drain trays. Tomorrow i might build the first one just to watch it work.

Hydrored tote with the flood and drain fittings removed and this is my drain res...i might run a 10 gallon res beside it to drain to waste it...i will play with the possibilities.

but the totes will work...and it fixes that coco salt buildup problem with a recirculating flood and drain using coco coir...you get them to the finish but wow they can look some kind of crispy when they get there. I found pouring your top up nutrient water directly through the pots worked fantastically at doing the job so floraflex should be way better than that !

First cell of floraflex pots...the rest are all 3 and 5 gallon pots with matrix pads and circles for the system...when this shit starts growing....oh no....and the CMH is going to boost my veg by a lot...i need the warmth in that room.
Plants will love the cmh especially if it is cool in the room. Under led the plants want it like a jungle, hot and humid.

With the added juice in veg the temps went up and i found that very thing. Everything is lushing up way faster. And it was really stalling.

Today i got a 30 x 30 x 5 inch flood tray for the 32 special. I am going to use it to run a system in there.
I think this might be awesome for a tray of clones or a pack of seeds your not sure of.

Another 2 x 4 oversize tray to go in the veg room. This will also go floraflex. I just have to keep coco in one and soil in the other or all one or the other or it will be a pita.
These will be on 120 gph pumps

The bloom room will be on a system as well (3/4 hard lines with floraflex oring elbows). 400gph pump

I had to puzzle it out a while. But im ready to build it...1 week from mostly everything chopped.

I dropped a few bucks but this is the final change. I just have to do the work :D

Esos LVTK....BOOM will it flower????? we shall see. The good news is she is one resiliant strain. No weird leaf patterns from the all night streetlight directly overhead. We shall see. Next year its 4 planters on wheels moving around the pool.

First cell is now operational. I dont need a timer i need to slow down the feed. I switched it out for a 65GPH pump and will turn it down a bit and it will be PERFECT.

Reservoir is a repurposed autopot tank. I have a pair of these so the other will be used in the veg room to get 3 gallon pots bigger.
IMG_1665.JPG
2 x 2 inside dimensions tray. fits PERFECTLY.
IMG_1666.JPG
I think that is it for today. Tomorrow i will tackle trellis #2 which will be 2 x 4 feet this time undersized so it fits in the flood tray, 4 feet 2 inches tall.

The future is now.

SeaWench...Survived the gnats and i almost tossed her out twice...as early as last Friday but the buds started forming.

I think its snapping out of it.

20 x 36 inch scrog....actually i snapped the stems and smacked her around under that net because its 5 foot 2 in the tent. Not much room for some ECSD x SD to get stretching.

Love this setup! I am digging the FloraFlex gear myself. They are putting good thoughts and engineering designs into their products.

2nd floraflex cell is installed. I have a bunch of stuff to do (make lines to run to the heads and make a splash guard for the electrics and move them up)...and then...well and then this is operational.

2 heads can run from 1 to 16 plants. I will probably use the other head with a res if something gets ornery with the feed (or i mixed up a coco pot or many coco pots).

I am moving to 100% all the same substrate. soil (10G)/coco(10g) /#8 perlite(5G) and a feed in the middle of both. I am mixing up 27 gallons of it right now.

The best part is even if its not on a timer...plug it in and water everything in 1 shot...eureka.

This means more time to stop the shaggy 70s bush party i get into....shaved legs all round ladies !

Lets Grow This !
IMG_1677.JPG IMG_1678.JPG
The grid tray in the flood tray is a 2 x 4 warehouse light cover...so you dont poke the bulbs out with 12 foot rod and such. Who cares about that its the best tray ever. Everything sits flat and it drains like a champ.
I used my PVC saw to cut out a notch for the shop vac and there is a 2 x 2 on the far end to give me enough tilt to drain it.

The far back one will get a tray like that too when i harvest a couple out. No more pots larger than 5s indoors for me. Uncle Rom crushed a 1 gallon so 3s 4s and 5s will fill this room with 16 or less no problem.
Heathens (older stock)
Gmoozy (GMO X Adub)
ECSD X SD
Esos Twinkle Tarts
Maybe a Seawench...i dont know what the rest is but i think they have tags...just push the button and they all get fed...who cares...shape up and grow tall for my papers to fill...

Gardening done for today. I am going to make the pig tails to hook up to the lines and then im autofeeding 16 of something.

Another really cool thing about those expensive 3/4 line style heads you can adjust the flow with the valve on the head. So I might run testers in 1 gallon pots at the back of bloom on that line on a reduced flow so they get the right watering.

and the 3s and 5s get the right watering from the heavier flow of the other line.

Its the lego of watering systems...

The bloom room is looking sexy. I loved it so much we cranked the HPS to 750...lets warm things up in there..

RH 45% shes a bloom room. Temps...i hit 80 now. good air flow which will help me adjust to soil watering..suck it gnats. land in that shit.

Floraflex trial run was a success except for when the pipe popped off the fitting...and the leaky thing.

I will cut a couple of the pipes to get them perfect and then i will glue or silicone the fittings on and that will fix it.

All 16 plants watered at once...and it was variable. They also have these flow controllers i can install 1/3/5/20 gallons per minute passthrough. Interesting.

I put 8 plants that are in 1 gallon soil pots in 1 floraflex head

i put 6 plants that are in 3s on the other head. The big ones watering 3 times faster than the small ones all plants watered in 60 seconds.

Oh yeah this is pretty awesome.

Heathens Hammers with an 85 day veg in a 7 gallon pot of organic soil. I think these buds should be fat ass buds, Pringle up buttercup.
I top dress it and feed it water and thats it.

Floraflex is water tight and siliconed shut. Now we are rocking it.

1 minute feed watered everything perfectly to run off. Shop vac sucked it up. Holy shit this is way easier than what i did before.

I will play with it and get a by the second timer with multiple daily settings so i can play around with my coco too...better get 4 of them.

Its not hoarding if its for growing...rules to live by.

No dead flat cats under planters yet...but i think i might need to rent a pod to store my grow gear that i 'might' need.

:D lol no more planters for me until next year...then its 50s for outdoor. I chopped some branches off of a monster blue spruce in the yard so they get more light. and the needles in the pool are a massive pita..

10k each tree to have them removed with permits and shit so i am lollipopping like a lumberjack...no law against shaving their legs.

:D

I do stand corrected...rubber factory...thickfreakness and Brothers are all exceptional...the apple box just kept playing the whole catalogue and magic potion is taking a back seat for a long while.

i forgot i can crank the tunes in the basement while i garden...so i am going to do that every day. I ran out of decent horror movies and a lot of them are just....bad.

1 gallon pots with drip going will get bonkers! I think i read somewhere that 1 and 2 gal pots are best for coco on drip/timers. Once they get big the dry/wet cycles are like 3-4 times a day which really puts them in overdrive.

Downside is any pump failures and those pots dry out real quick.
