The Kriznac Chronicles

I will be using this thread as a place to show what I am currently growing as well as some previous grows. Hopefully somebody will find the info helpful or at least entertaining.

Let's start with what I have grown over the past year or so. First up is some SkunkyVA from @Schwaggy P. I considered posting something like a full journal for these past grows but I will spare everyone the boring veg shots unless there is something interesting to be seen.

I originally started with six seedlings but lost two to stem rot. Of the remaining four, three were female. The lone male was culled and here are the females at day 19 just before a defoliation.

And at day 21 after the defoliation.

Here they are right before harvest.

Everything went really easy with these plants. They continued to grow like crazy and never broke a sweat when I upped their fertilization levels. I ended up with three distinct phenos, plant #1 with extremely dense light green buds (my favorite), plant #2 with dense buds and a sweet berry smell and flavor, and plant #3 with not so dense buds and an acrid smell, it made my eyes water while trimming, this was my least favorite of them. I wish I had a clone of #1 but I wasn't set up for that at the time. I did however hit that plant with some pollen from a Shoreline BX male I had grown previously and got quite a lot of seeds, well over 400. I forgot to record the exact weights from each plant after drying and curing but they each produced over 5oz a piece and netted me just over a pound, not bad for three plants in a small closet. If anyone is looking for a quality plant that will throw some weight I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the SkunkyVA.

Very nice work!

Beautiful grow. Skunky VA isn't shy about chunking up and you did a great job with them. Have you grown out any of the beans you made with it?
I have done a grow with the seeds I made and that will be the next post in this journal. Also, thank you for the kind words I am just a hobbyist and the real skills, IMO, lies with the breeders. I have some plans in the works for next season (after summer), and the SkunkyD is definitely on schedule.

Next up is the SkunkyVA x Shoreline cross. This was a pollen chuck in the truest sense, I just happened to have a male Shoreline plant and the space to grow it out, so I figured why not. After harvesting the SkunkyVA I pollinated I picked through all the seeds and separated the seeds I thought would germinate from the ones I figured wouldn't. Well I originally planned on popping the rest of my Peanut Butter Breath seeds but my dumb ass ended up cooking them on my heat mat (always check the thermometer). So I decided to take approx 30 or so of the SkunkyVA x Shoreline seeds that were sitting on my desk, these were ones I didn't think would germinate mind you, and threw them in a shot glass of water. Well, the next day I had a glass full of seeds with tails so I grabbed the 24 strongest looking sprouts and planted them in Solo cups filled with coco.

One week later this is how they looked.

You may notice there are two missing, well that is because I left my tent open, left the room and this one decided to uproot a couple plants for me. Apparently I had sprouted too many.

Total harvest results for all 14 plants was 19.34oz.

All in all this was a fun grow. I don't have any experience with the Shoreline being as that I have only ever grown two males from that strain but it would seem the SkunkyVA lent her propensity for weight to these girls. I'm confident that most of these plants would have easily produced 4oz or better in my usual 3gal pots. The smells leave a bit to be desired in my opinion and the buds aren't going to win any beauty contests but they will most definitely get the job done. Maybe I'll run a few outdoors this summer just for fun, though a successful harvest is unlikely here in Western Oregon due to rain/humidity in the late summer and early fall.

Awww, looks like you snapped the pic right after saying "You know you owe me a couple ounces, right?"
Beautiful pooch and plants!
Did the chuck turn out as nice as it potentially sounds?

that’s awesome, looks hella fun! great work on all the solo pics. My dog did the same thing for me and as you will see in the pic even found an old photo album he didn’t like either... haha but you gotta love em! Now I know better

Dang! They do look alike. If it weren't for the grey starting creep on my girls muzzle I would be hard pressed to tell them apart, lol. Crazy that yours doesn't like plants but loves smoke, mine it the exact opposite. When she's outside all she does it look for grass to eat.

Next up is a grow of some Useful Seeds Chocolate Diesel crosses. I grew out two Chocolate Skunk and two Blue Dream x Chocolate Diesel. Here they are day 1 of flower.
Choc. Skunk on the left and BD x CD on the right.
Day 1 Flower.JPG

And at day 22 after some defoliation.
Day 22 Flower.JPG

Day 64 of flower. Plants were harvested on day 69.
oz Day 64 Flower.JPG

-Harvest Results-
BD x CD #1 - 2.95oz
BD x CD #2 - 3.79oz
Choc. Skunk #1 - 2.75oz
Choc. Skunk #2 - 3.56oz

Of the two Choc. Skunk one really impressed me, very frosty, great smell, dense buds...what's not to like? I ended up re-vegging this one and got a couple clones. The other Choc. Skunk was kind of a dud, looser buds, unappealing smell, basically the opposite of the keeper.

Of the two BD x CD both were pretty damn good, very frosty and both have that Blue Dream smell to them. One was a bit frostier than the other and that's what I've been smoking on lately. It has good flavor when smoked and is a very chill high. I am a lightweight when it comes to weed and can be prone to anxiety but this cross just treats me right. The high isn't speedy but doesn't make me super tired either, just a super chill high. I tried to re-veg this one as well but she just didn't seem into it. This was my first experience with anything from Useful but it won't be the last, I've got a pack of his Chocolate Diesel F3 I really want to grow out next year.

Next up is my most recent grow, Garlic Butter from Thug Pug. I got these as a freebie in a pack of Mule Fuel. Of the 14 seeds soaked, 2 didn't pop, 2 didn't make it above ground, 2 damped off and died shortly after sprouting. I planted the remaining 8 seedlings in solo cups filled with coco, 3 of these plants didn't look good but I thought maybe they would grow out of it.
8 Seedlings.JPG

Eventually they outgrew the solos and I transplanted the strongest plants into 3gal pots and the smaller plants into 1 gal pots. There was one plant that never grew right so I left it in the solo cup just to see what it would do. These were kind of slow veggers. I put them in flower 2 weeks after this picture was taken.
After Transplant.JPG

Here they are at Day 26 of flower. I ended up with 4 males and 4 females, I saved the best looking male and collected his pollen. I did a single branch pollination on plants 1 and 3.
After Pollination.JPG

Just before harvest.
Harvest Day.JPG

I left the pollinated branches on the stalk for one more week just to be sure I got as many mature seeds as possible. I wish I was better at taking pictures because these came out really frosty. I just can't seem to capture it in picture form. #1 has the most funky garlicky smell of the four. #3 has a good garlic funk as well just not as strong, maybe some spiciness to it? #7 is just amazing, every time I smell this it makes me think of blueberry syrup, I can't wait to see what the smoke is like. #2 is a bit of a mix between the garlic funk and the berry smell, not bad. I took clones off of all these ladies and will decide which to keep later. I probably won't keep #2 unless the smoke is stellar. I just don't like the growth pattern on it, it branched like crazy but stayed very compact blocking the light to the interior of the plant. They are all hanging right now and I will post harvest results and photos of the trimmed buds in the next week or so.
