HSC Nutter and original PBB are virtually identical right now! They even smell alike. Great stacking, this is exactly the type of structure & early frost I like to see.

And then there's the Kropduster, its flowers are weirder looking:
PXL_20230626_031741416~2.jpg
This "oddness" is typical of PBB though, as are these funky leaves:

Everything is doing very well going into week 5
PXL_20230626_031726579.jpg

I'm doing my best to stop staggering plants in flower, so i have a good 5 weeks before anything else should go into the 4x4. I had to cut the PBB in my 2x2 waaaaay back, it was getting lanky and bushy:
PXL_20230626_034059035.jpg
I topped pretty much every branch, also topped the smaller PBB bx in front. The small cup labeled "AGOG" has a HSC All Gas OG fem in it.

I still have a sneaky suspicion that my PBB may have hlvd; it's "viney" with odd leaf patterns, it's pretty much the textbook definition of symptoms except, the branches aren't weak & the one in flower is quite frosty & stacking nicely. Could be asymptomatic? Who knows. I might let it go sooner than later, and start other stuff. We'll see.

Are you talking your original elite or a seed start?

Ok well, fuck it. I did say i want to stop staggering plants in flower, but, the 2x2 was getting stuffed with one plant.
PXL_20230630_135332113.jpg
The seedling in the cup (All Gas OG) is literally 2 weeks old! It's getting NO light, so I have to get the big one outa here.

It's gona be a fucking B E A S T, the PBB in the back right corner was half the size of this new plant when it was flipped.

The general aroma in the space is starting to get that "peanutty" almost meaty vibe. Original PBB is gorilla-glue level sticky already, Nutter is a close second and Kropduster isn't far behind, having an almost greasier feel than the other two.

Original PBB is next-level sticky. Unreal.

Kropduster PBB bx1. I definitely got an oddball pheno, my dad's Kropduster plant looks alot like original PBB and Nutter. Mine clearly does not, but has nice heavy flowers, good frost, low aroma so far.

HSC Nutter Budder, visually just as frosty as PBB but not as sticky, smells similar too. Nicer bud structure.

Everything entering week 7

When your KropDuster PBB was stretching so much I felt that wasn't what I was used to seeing from the PBB I have worked with. You said your father specific plant looked more like the PBB. Love to see your fathers plant. If I remember correctly you took the plant that had the fatter leaf shape and gave your father the one that was a bit more narrow.

I won't be posting his plants, just take my word for it. Basically I gave him one of two female seedlings, neither looked very different from each other in early veg. Mine always had that leaf edge curl previously mentioned, his never did.

Just slapped a 5ft cage on the last original PBB that I'll be running. Tired of floppy branches, this'll do. 🤘

PXL_20230718_030855472.PORTRAIT.jpg
Original PBB looking SUPER nice and doing that fake-out looking like it's going to finish early. This is day 56.

PXL_20230717_030551391.jpg
HSC Nutter Budder, by all accounts resembles a "standard pheno" of ThugPug's PBB, so before I even smoke it I feel like they really nailed this cross. We'll see for sure in a month or so. Literally all thru veg and flower, this thing has been a dead-ringer for PBB.

PXL_20230718_032656763.jpg
Kropduster stacking SUPER hard, these flowers are insanely heavy and dense & the whole plant is a "beautiful disaster", i wish i had put a taller cage on it. The flowers are really cool to just sit and stare at. Aroma is still lightest of the bunch but still on point with what PBB does/should smell like. Damn, i wish I had kept cuts, this would be fun to re-run & be better prepared for extra heavy flowers.

The time has come! Time to chop down at least one plant:
PXL_20230724_032545136.PORTRAIT.jpg
Chopped down at day 63, mostly because I need smoke & this plant is "close enough". I'd have liked to let it go a full 70 days, it's so hot & dry here, this plant will probably be dry and smokable within a week, maybe 10 days. Nugs aren't huge, so it should dry fairly quickly, unfortunately but oh well. That's what I get for flowering plants in July, lol.

Nutter Budder will probably be next, that plant will go the full 70 days and Krop will go 70-75 days, more if needed.

PXL_20230726_032030832.PORTRAIT.ORIGINAL.jpg
Kropduster top, flopped over. Man, these flowers are IMPOSSIBLY dense, the aroma is still lightest of the bunch but not by much.

Been kinda busy and haven't had a chance to update:

OKAY, so we've finally reached the finish line! I didn't get as many pics of the final buds, sorry, but I've posted plenty of pics throughout the grow for comparison.

Alright, so. ... The original PBB cut we have is a low yielder, but not a OGKB-leaning weirdo as badly as the "093" cut we used to have. PHENOMENAL aroma and bag appeal on this one. Proper stone, if you smoke this shit during the day you'd better cancel your plans, and plan on an afternoon nap 😴🤣. My plant yielded 3.7 oz, and was chopped at day 65. Clone was veg'd for about 70 days. Next run, I'm gona push it to 70-75 days for a lil extra color 👌. I would ALWAYS advise anyone get their hands on the original PBB if and when possible, cut or seed. Cannot be bested. 🔥🔥🔥

Nutter Budder, this one I got a pic of:
PXL_20230804_163817413.jpg
5.1 oz!!!! Biggest single plant yield to date. This was seed grown, veg'd for i think 70 days. GAS, GAS GAS! It's PBB-ish in its overall terp profile, but super gas-forward, moreso than the original. WOW, this is a great one to grow for yield alone, the plant was an absolute breeze to grow seed to chop. She liked to eat, she liked the heat, she even didn't seem to mind accidental drybacks in coco. Highly recommend growing this, IMO it still leaves you itching for actual PBB, but ticks all other boxes for sure.

Kropduster, this one went 77 days & is still drying, haven't trimmed or smoked any yet. Will report back on this one in more detail, but my initial thoughts: my pheno was finicky but manageable, my dad's pheno was normal. Overall terp profile I still say is in-line with PBB but slightly muted. HUGE heavy flowers that look different than the low-yield PBB phenos I'm used to growing.

So, to date I have grown:

Humboldt Seed Org PBB fem. I give it 7/10
Humboldt Seed Co Nutter Budder fem. Solid 9/10
Kropduster PBB bx1. *Rating TBD*
original ThugPug PBB, (3 phenos to date) 10/10

Smoke Reports:

Original PBB: This weed is a Sammy Sosa driven homerun straight to your face. Smokes nicely but HOLY FUCK if you day-smoke this, your plans had better include an afternoon nap. Great pungent "nutty/earthy" forward flavor with a "meaty"/fuel backing. Getting our clone HLVD tested and absolutely will continue growing if it's clean.

Nutter Budder: this is some FABULOUS smoke! This is the daily driver/day smoke. Smokes really nicely, nicest of the bunch in general. Super gas-forward with a fairly typical PBB-vibe. This just smokes like a really nice standard "greenbud". Fantastic overall buzz off this one. Would highy recommend anyone get some fem seeds and grow this!

Kropduster PBB bx1: absolutely the NICEST bag appeal of the bunch, the lightest in terms of overall flavor and aroma, which was still PBB-esque but not as prominent as the original. Smokes the harshest, confirmed by a few heads, but not unpleasantly so, quite the contrary. Medium-high potency, also a decent day smoke. Would recommend this for a more experienced grower whose top priority is yield or nice bag appeal.
