The girls have been skipping class so I had to take em to school/training:

Gave Kropduster the ol' snap-n-bend.

Original PBB and HSC Nutter Budder got #2 pots, the Kropduster wasn't ready yet. Also spread everything out, PBB is so lanky she really takes up a lot of space like this, so I'll let her branches go skyward from here, but I'll keep stretching out the Budder's branches.

Decently level canopy, considering how lanky PBB is and the different overall size of each plant. The PBB cut in the cup; I'm just starting to harden her off by cutting a corner on the baggie dome, I believe it has roots.

HSO PBB day 40. .. so far, not super impressed with this one overall; the structure is kinda weird for no reason, and the terps are "okay", like you can sorta tell it's PBB but nothing crazy.

Unrelated to the "Exploration Series" but worth mention, this @BobBitchen Chernobyl is day 30 or 31 flower, and is the MOST FRAGRANT plant I've ever had at this age!

"This" is more of the general structure I'm looking for in flowers; nice and perky overall, good early frost production that extends far out onto fan leaves, and MAN THAT AROMA ?❤️❤️❤️

Early assessment: I probably won't rerun the HSO PBB fems bit I do have more just in case.

Everything has really filled in, in just a couple days' time!


The Kropduster is getting the wee'est bit of edge curl, which I attribute to the really low RH in this tent which is like 35ish. Leaf surface temp is only like 72-75, so I'm almost certain it's the dryness of the environment affecting only the broadest-leafed plant, and only slightly. But still, so far so good.

OK so this is weird. . .. my PBB cut is throwing odd 4-finger leaves. @pwnytailjoe and my dad both confirm their cuts are NOT doing this:

Let's start with an overall pic of the plant. I brought it in the bathroom so I could look at it more up-close. .. to me, it looks good, a bit lanky & wirey but generally healthy and happy ??‍♂️

3 and 4-finger leaves on the same branch:

All the 3s seem to be low on the plant, the 4's are consistently spread throughout, it seems.



I kind of attribute it to "crowding" and I also think it could be a vegetative stress response from constant "fucking with" the plant, topping & bending tall branches, constantly adjusting tiedowns, but I don't defol much because it doesn't have a ton of leaves. I just pull the occasional leaf that's in the way of something, I don't think I've ever pulled more than 3 leaves at any given time.

My PBB F1 from the breeders pack threw 3 finger leaves in flower.

These are all grown from the original PBB genetics.. They are the F2's. You can see the type of leaf shapes.

Turns out he/they were wrong, theirs have 3-fingered leaves but neither mentioned 4's ??‍♂️

OK so we're all good then ? lol! I was gona flower it out anyway, but now I'm more at ease with (likely) keeping a mother of it.

Thanks for also chiming in @kropduster . I mean, PBB is a weird ass strain from seedling to sack, it's a big part of why I love it so much. I gravitate toward the weirdly structured plants ?❤️

OK so, i think HSO PBB is either overfed to her liking, or I may have salt accumulation in my coco? I also suspect I've been giving it too low of pH for too long, probably 5.7ish for several weeks. Ive tapered off the silica & cal mag additives, and from here out just giving half the Bloom, full dose Floralicious and KoolBloom. Gona aim for 6-6.1 pH and see what happens?

I don't think she's N-toxified, but I think the weird twisty leaves and slight lack of nutty-buttery aroma is a sign of something...?

I don't really see too much signs of being overfed or locked out. I see a little tip burn which is usually a sign of over fertilization but yours doesn't look very bad imo.
I run coco and have noticed that my plants don't do as well when I keep the pH the same for too long, so your not wrong in any way. I let mine go anywhere from 5.8-6.4 and just let it do it's thing. I believe it helps the plants absorb nutrients better that way.
As far as the aroma goes, I would lean towards genetics for the most part. That's been my experience. Your plants look very good to me so I wouldn't stress ? keep rocking it man, peace.

Still really gnarly looking, but starting to "normal out" a bit & is starting to develop the "peanut buttery" terps, but kinda dirty/mushroomy. Smells more like GMO to me with a sort of buttery b.o. funk to it. Not bad, but I can already tell this ain't a keeper for me.

I took the lowest branch at week 8 just to check things out, gave it a wet trim & crushed the trim up to get a good whiff. .. to me, this comes off way more like GMO than PBB. It's dank and kinda dirty-mushroomy, with a slight buttery undertone. No smoke report yet.

So, I'm not totally stoked with the bud structure or overall aroma, but I'll be the first to admit I didn't fully do this plant justice; I may have overfed it and with too low of pH for too long. That said, even if I had this plant fully dialed in the whole time, it still doesn't exhibit keeper-qualities to me. Worth a re-run since i have more seeds, but I will be moving on in this Series to the other PBB-variants.

Chopped at day 63, a couple of the tops were getting stressed/nanners so I just chopped her down. I wouldn't consider this an early pull although I dod want to go 70 days. The 2x2 was getting way too crowded, so I also transplanted and flipped the Kropduster PBB bx1.

The 2x2 is still crowded even with this plant out of there:

I can't even tell anymore which is the PBB and which is the Nutter Budder. .. i do have the pots labeled though. This was after some tweaking of branches:

Oh yeah, early smoke report on the PBB sample I took:

WOW, never been so heavily stoned off a sample nug. VERY HEAVY effect, almost straight garlic, comes thru big time in the smoke. Slight earthy/peanutty vibe but no "butter", it's sharp to the nose.

WOW, what a day! ❤️ Went and snagged a couple original PBB clones from my dad, hung with my folks for a bit ?❤️ got some lemon meringue cheesecake ----yes, you read that correctly ??

I absolutely LOVE driving around town with plants in my car ?? dunno why, maybe it's "rebellious" or something? A few times, I've picked up mother plants that have filled the back window of my hatch ?? pretty obvious what I'm up to ??‍♂️ While I was in town, visited an old family friend I haven't seen in a while which was very nice.

Only had room for one of two, so I hit up a buddy in town & he took one. Gave his kid the cheesecake too ?❤️ another person I don't get to see often enough.

MY BRO FROM ANOTHER HOE @pwnytailjoe (no offense to our moms it just rhymed bro ??‍♂️??) loaned me his SF4000 light that I'll install to flower out my next run ?? upgrading from 300watts to 450 is significant, THANK YOU MAN ❤️ and yet again, another person I simply do not get to spend nearly enough time with.

Like I said. . .. WHAT A DAY ❤️?lol!


Got my clone rinsed of its soil, dunked in Athena Cleanse & repotted into coco & bottle-fed. Gona try to hang onto this one for a good while, maybe into or through 2025 if I can.
