I'd be busy just running my current preservations for some time. I'm certain others will want to play!

Holding 7 BLAF at the moment. 1 of them is a bit behind. 3 are in quarts and the other 4 will go there by weeks end. Now we veg and wait. I think the veg may go longer, I would love to take cuttings before flipping. Guessing that should occur in December.
I intend to start another preservation by the end of October.

All 7 BLAF are in quarts. The straggler is falling farther behind but is still trying.

I've got 6 molokai frost dropped and first true leaves. Still have 7 seeds incase I mess this up.

I yanked the lone straggler. Now we have 6 healthy BLAF seedlings in quarts of super soil. Probably up potting into2 gallon pots before the months end and I'll ready another preservation strain when I do!

Just tossin this out there! My uncle gave me 5 seeds from 1973 that he says are some awesome Mexican sativa that he'd been hangin on to. Not sure if they'll even germinate but figured I'd make a breading plan before I pop them in a few runs from now and try to produce some F1's. Any ideas on what I could expect as far as quality, Terps, flowering time etc? Not sure if something like this would fit into this preserving project but when I came across this thread, I figured I'd ask. I would really like to make a big seed run with them. I've never collected pollin but I've done a pretty good bit of research. As always, any tips or guidance is appreciated!

If you want to try, good luck. I've had very limited success with beans over 10 years. If the seeds were stored properly, perhaps. A great friend gave me a box of 30-year-old beans, shortly before he passed away. I'd heard stories about them for a few years, and I guess I felt that I owed him the respect by doing my best, but no. I tried everything over 3-4 months but, they were stored poorly. I will leave this open to better growers than I, Good luck ?.
I would recommend running the old beans as a side project. We have so much frosty, firey and stanky genetics available right here. That's where I'd start. Please start a grow journal once you're comfortable as we all love good Bud porn ?

Any of that old brick weed has potential if they'll sprout.
I'm 64 and some of the best highs came from those 70's and 80's imports!

Yeah im not holding out too much hope but I'll give it my best shot! I just think it would be pretty special to smoke a joint of something with that kind of history. Or lack there of? ?

I was once very excited a old school cat about 10 years ago had smoked some of my bud and said I have something I'll give you..It was a tin of about 200 tiny seeds and written on the inside lid said Columbian gold 72...Man was I excited..Soaked about 10... Nothing! Soaked every single one of em..again nothing! It definitely depends on how they was stored...I store seeds inside small glass containers... containers in baggies buried in rice and put away in the fridge...I have some very old seeds in there that I'm very certain will pop...some creeping 15 years...Had a youngster grower pop some not long ago..Good luck buddy... Remember ya only need one good pheno and you can roll from there?
