Thanks @Buck5050 I'll check that out tonight! Been trying to get this new area layed out. Would love to elicit thoughts and feedback, areas of interest etc

Here are a few things to run while other stuff arrives.

Donations OTW too! Thanks and much appreciated to all.?

For this next part:Chucking Experience Required

This brings me to my next question. If you are interested in running one of these packs for the inaugural preservation run, respond to this thread with your preference. If multiple people choose the same selection we will /random.

Let's get this party started!

First off I would like this to be a learning adventure, out of the gate. There are numerous variables, and options to explore. I have set nothing in stone, just key guidance, and milestone criteria. Leaving this open, and using techniques that will provide the best results is the best out of the gate. This depends on abilities/techniques of the grower. This is also some of the information, as part of the project I am interested in defining, so those differences can be understood. Why one would be used over the other etc. As far as the bean counts, most of them on written on the bags above. I probably should have stuck with 2-3 lines originally, and bought breeder packs. Good questions @Buck5050.

I just want to put out here. The decisions made during this project is relative to the feed-forward, and feedback loops. This is in he hopes to foster continuous improvement, not only the genetics, but of us growers ourselves.

Please Remember: This is a community project, and will be ran with the input, and guidance of the community. Thanks to everyone who is asking questions. I may not always have the answers, and the answers I do have may not always be the correct ones. The strength we have is in the knowledge of this community as a whole, and the common love of cannabis horticulture.

OH! That's what those numbers are... ? ... for real though, I can't really tell how many "Cider Kush" beans because of the glare and that one has piqued my interest.
I think Cider x18 kush is a 5 pack, trying to get more of those also.

I will start a thread for each strain, once provisioned, in the preservation area for data logging/ strain information.

Current Interest:
@Buck5050 - Cider x18 Kush
@Skunky Dunk Farms - Pakistan Valley

I would also like to give a shout out @J. James who has sent some donations to the project :weedleaf:. stay tuned for additional information on new purchases/donations!

I'm going to throw my 2 cents in on why one would be chosen over the other.

Multiple males pollinating multiple females would expand genetic diversity. This most likely would be used best on some of the rarer or limited varieties. Hunting through the seeds from this type will take time but will see the most range of phenotypes.

Single male to multiple females (or vise versa) would narrow the genetic diversity. This most likely would be used be to point in a direction genetically, like less stretch or shorter flowering times but on a broader range.

Single male to single female would drastically limit the genetic diversity. This most likely would be used when aiming for something specific genetically. This is what most seed packs are made of these days.
